Source of Mercy,
On this day, we come together
with hearts heavy with remembrance
and souls uplifted by resilience.
As we commemorate
the end of the darkest chapter in our history,
we pause to honor the memory
of the six million precious Jewish souls,
along with the Sinti and Roma,
queer individuals,
physically and mentally disabled,
and millions more,
whose lives were cruelly taken
by the horrors of the Nazi regime.
Grant us the strength
to never forget the atrocities that were committed,
and empower us
to ensure that such darkness
never engulfs humanity again.
May their memories be a blessing,
and may their stories serve
as a beacon of hope and resilience
for generations to come.
As we reflect on the liberation from tyranny,
let us also renew our commitment
to justice, compassion, and tolerance.
May we strive to build a world
where all people are treated with dignity and respect,
regardless of race, religion, or creed.
In the face of adversity,
may we find the courage
to stand together in solidarity,
and may the light of love and understanding
shine brightly,
illuminating the path
toward a future
of peace and harmony
for all.
