Weekday Evening Prayer

Blessed be you YHVH our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified with his commandments to don four corners with tzitzit, Amen. (K.S.)

And YHVH commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear YHVH our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. And it shall be righteousness unto us, if we observe to do all this commandment before YHVH our God, as He hath commanded us. (Deuteronomy 6:24-25) He declareth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation; and as for His ordinances, they have not known them. Hallelujah. (Psalms 147:19-20) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

Who am I, but dust and ashes, wretched and woeful, vain and empty, that I may be worthy to stand in prayer before the great and awesome king, sublime and exalted is his name, the king of emperors, the Holy One blessed be He, the cause of all causes, the reason for all reasons; but I am dependent upon his great mercy and his magnificent grace, for he has mercy upon on his creations and accepts the prayers and supplications of his servants, as it is written: (K.S.) YHVH is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them. (Psalms 145:18-19) O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee doth all flesh come. (Psalms 65:3) Happy are they that dwell in Thy house, they are ever praising Thee. Selah. (Psalms 84:5)

O YHVH, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto Thee. (Psalms 102:2)

I will bless YHVH at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall glory in YHVH; the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify YHVH with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought YHVH, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto Him, and were radiant; and their faces shall never be abashed. This poor man cried, and YHVH heard, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of YHVH encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. O consider and see that YHVH is good; happy is the man that taketh refuge in Him. O fear YHVH, ye His holy ones; for there is no want to them that fear Him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but they that seek YHVH want not any good thing. Come, ye children, hearken unto me; I will teach you the fear of YHVH. Who is the man that desireth life, and loveth days, that he may see good therein? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of YHVH are toward the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry. The face of YHVH is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. They cried, and YHVH heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles. YHVH is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit. Many are the ills of the righteous, but YHVH delivereth him out of them all. He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken. Evil shall kill the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall be held guilty. YHVH redeemeth the soul of His servants; and none of them that take refuge in Him shall be desolate. (Psalms 34:2-23) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

Stand and Say

O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee doth all flesh come. (Psalms 65:3) For YHVH hearkeneth unto the needy, and despiseth not His prisoners. (Psalms 69:34) For He hath not despised nor abhorred the lowliness of the poor; neither hath He hid His face from him; but when he cried unto Him, He heard. (Psalms 22:25) Hear, O YHVH, when I call with my voice, and be gracious unto me, and answer me. (Psalms 27:7) Hear, O YHVH, and be gracious unto me; YHVH, be Thou my helper. (Psalms 30:11) YHVH, I have called Thee; make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto Thee. O YHVH, Thy name endureth for ever; thy memorial, O YHVH, throughout all generations. (Psalms 135:13) YHVH by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens. (Proverbs 3:19) Thy lovingkindness, O YHVH, is in the heavens; Thy faithfulness reacheth unto the skies. (Psalms 36:6) YHVH hath established His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. O YHVH, there is none like Thee, neither is there any God beside Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. On Saturday night:

YHVH by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens. (Proverbs 3:19)

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters. And God said: ‘Let there be light.’ And there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. (Genesis 1:1-5)

On Sunday night:

And God said: ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.’ And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. (Genesis 1:6-8)

On Monday night:

And God said: ‘Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear.’ And it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas; and God saw that it was good. And God said: ‘Let the earth put forth grass, herb yielding seed, and fruit-tree bearing fruit after its kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth.’ And it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, herb yielding seed after its kind, and tree bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after its kind; and God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, a third day. (Genesis 1:9-13)

On Tuesday night:

And God said: ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth.’ And it was so. And God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; and the stars. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. (Genesis 1:14-19)

On Wednesday night:

And God said: ‘Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.’ And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that creepeth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after its kind, and every winged fowl after its kind; and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying: ‘Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.’ And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. (Genesis 1:20-23)

On Thursday night:

And God said: ‘Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind.’ And it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after its kind, and the cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. And God said: ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.’ And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them; and God said unto them: ‘Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that creepeth upon the earth.’ And God said: ‘Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed — to you it shall be for food; and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is a living soul, I have given every green herb for food.’ And it was so. And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. (Genesis 1:24-31)

After the section on creation say:

Who knoweth not among all these, that the hand of YHVH hath wrought this? (Job 12:9) How manifold are Thy works, O YHVH! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; the earth is full of Thy creatures. (Psalms 104:24) How great are Thy works, O YHVH! Thy thoughts are very deep. (Psalms 92:6) I know that Thou canst do every thing, and that no purpose can be withholden from Thee. (Job 42:2) For I know that YHVH is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatsoever YHVH pleased, that hath He done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps. (Psalms 135:5-6) That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all Thy wondrous works. (Psalms 26:7)

A Psalm of thanksgiving. Shout unto YHVH, all the earth. Serve YHVH with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know ye that YHVH He is God; it is He that hath made us, and we our His, His people, and the flock of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; give thanks unto Him, and bless His name. For YHVH is good; His mercy endureth for ever; and His faithfulness unto all generations. (Psalms 100:1-5) The beginning of Thy word is truth; and all Thy righteous ordinance endureth for ever. (Psalms 119:160) Thou hast ordained Thy precepts, that we should observe them diligently. (Psalms 119:4)

And YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying: Command the children of Israel, and say unto them: My food which is presented unto Me for offerings made by fire, of a sweet savour unto Me, shall ye observe to offer unto Me in its due season. And thou shalt say unto them: This is the offering made by fire which ye shall bring unto YHVH: he-lambs of the first year without blemish, two day by day, for a continual burnt-offering. The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at dusk; and the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meal-offering, mingled with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil. It is a continual burnt-offering, which was offered in mount Sinai, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto YHVH. And the drink-offering thereof shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb; in the holy place shalt thou pour out a drink-offering of strong drink unto YHVH. And the other lamb shalt thou present at dusk; as the meal-offering of the morning, and as the drink-offering thereof, thou shalt present it, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto YHVH. (Numbers 28:1-8)

And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at dusk, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before YHVH throughout your generations. (Exodus 30:8) And to stand every morning to thank and praise YHVH, and likewise at even; (1Chronicles 23:30) I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. (Psalms 69:31)

On Saturday night:

A Psalm of praise; of David. I will extol Thee, my God, O King; and I will bless Thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name for ever and ever. Great is YHVH, and highly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall laud Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts. The glorious splendour of Thy majesty, and Thy wondrous works, will I rehearse. And men shall speak of the might of Thy tremendous acts; and I will tell of Thy greatness. They shall utter the fame of Thy great goodness, and shall sing of Thy righteousness. YHVH is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. YHVH is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works. All Thy works shall praise Thee, O YHVH; and Thy saints shall bless Thee. They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy might; To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of His kingdom. Thy kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. YHVH upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that are bowed down. The eyes of all wait for Thee, and Thou givest them their food in due season. Thou openest Thy hand, and satisfiest every living thing with favour. YHVH is righteous in all His ways, and gracious in all His works. YHVH is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them. YHVH preserveth all them that love Him; but all the wicked will He destroy. (Psalms 145:1-20) YHVH preserveth all them that love Him; but all the wicked will He destroy. (Psalms 145:20) My mouth shall speak the praise of YHVH; and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever. (Psalms 145:21) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

On Sunday night:

Hallelujah. Praise YHVH, O my soul. I will praise YHVH while I live; I will sing praises unto my God while I have my being. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his dust; in that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in YHVH his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is; who keepeth truth for ever; Who executeth justice for the oppressed; who giveth bread to the hungry. YHVH looseth the prisoners; YHVH openeth the eyes of the blind; YHVH raiseth up them that are bowed down; YHVH loveth the righteous; YHVH preserveth the strangers; He upholdeth the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked He maketh crooked. On Monday night:

Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is comely. YHVH doth build up Jerusalem, He gathereth together the dispersed of Israel; Who healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. He counteth the number of the stars; He giveth them all their names. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. YHVH upholdeth the humble; He bringeth the wicked down to the ground. Sing unto YHVH with thanksgiving, sing praises upon the harp unto our God; Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh the mountains to spring with grass. He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse; He taketh no pleasure in the legs of a man. YHVH taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that wait for His mercy. Glorify YHVH, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion. For He hath made strong the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee. He maketh thy borders peace; He giveth thee in plenty the fat of wheat. He sendeth out His commandment upon earth; His word runneth very swiftly. He giveth snow like wool; He scattereth the hoar-frost like ashes. He casteth forth His ice like crumbs; who can stand before His cold? He sendeth forth His word, and melteth them; He causeth His wind to blow, and the waters flow. He declareth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation; and as for His ordinances, they have not known them. Hallelujah. On Tuesday night:

Hallelujah. Praise ye YHVH from the heavens; praise Him in the heights. Praise ye Him, all His angels; praise ye Him, all His hosts. Praise ye Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all ye stars of light. Praise Him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that are above the heavens. Let them praise the name of YHVH; for He commanded, and they were created. He hath also established them for ever and ever; He hath made a decree which shall not be transgressed. Praise YHVH from the earth, ye sea-monsters, and all deeps; Fire and hail, snow and vapour, stormy wind, fulfilling His word; Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars; Beasts and all cattle, creeping things and winged fowl; Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all judges of the earth; Both young men and maidens, old men and children; Let them praise the name of YHVH, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. And He hath lifted up a horn for His people, a praise for all His saints, even for the children of Israel, a people near unto Him. Hallelujah. (Psalms 148:1-14) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. On Wednesday night:

Hallelujah. Sing unto YHVH a new song, and His praise in the assembly of the saints. Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp. For YHVH taketh pleasure in His people; He adorneth the humble with salvation. Let the saints exult in glory; let them sing for joy upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the nations, and chastisements upon the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; (Psalms 149:1-8) To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; (Psalms 149:8) To execute upon them the judgment written; He is the glory of all His saints. On Thursday night:

Hallelujah. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the firmament of His power. Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His abundant greatness. Praise Him with the blast of the horn; praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and the pipe. Praise Him with the loud-sounding cymbals; praise Him with the clanging cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise YHVH. Hallelujah. (Psalms 150:1-6) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, if I remember thee not; if I set not Jerusalem above my chiefest joy. (Psalms 137:5-6) Howbeit Thou art just in all that is come upon us; for Thou hast dealt truly, but we have done wickedly. (Nehemiah 9:33) Turn from Thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against Thy people. (Exodus 32:12*) Return for Thy servants’ sake, the tribes of Thine inheritance. Weekday Sanctification:

There is none like unto Thee among the gods, O Lord, and there are no works like Thine. (Psalms 86:8) There is none holy as YHVH, for there is none beside Thee; neither is there any rock like our God. (1Samuel 2:2) Yet Thou art holy, O Thou that art enthroned upon the praises of Israel. (Psalms 22:4)

So let the redeemed of YHVH say, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary. (Psalms 107:2) Our Redeemer, YHVH of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 47:4)

And one called unto another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, is YHVH of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory. (Isaiah 6:3)

When YHVH hath built up Zion, when He hath appeared in His glory. (Psalms 102:17) Blessed be the glory of YHVH from His place. (Ezekiel 3:12*)

Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and bow down unto them; and the anger of YHVH be kindled against you, and He shut up the heaven, so that there shall be no rain, and the ground shall not yield her fruit; and ye perish quickly from off the good land which YHVH giveth you. Therefore shall ye lay up these My words in your heart and in your soul; and ye shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, talking of them, when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates; that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, upon the land which YHVH swore unto your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth. (Deuteronomy 11:13-21)

And YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying: ‘Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them throughout their generations fringes in the corners of their garments, and that they put with the fringe of each corner a thread of blue. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of YHVH, and do them; and that ye go not about after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go astray; that ye may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy unto your God. I am YHVH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am YHVH your God.’ (Numbers 15:37-41)

YHVH our God is one God; Truth! And His Torah is perfect; Truth! And His Temple is the House of Prayer; Truth! And His prophets; Truth! And His commandments and His statutes and His testimonies and His judgement and all His words; Truth! (K.S.) But YHVH is the true God, He is the living God, and the everlasting King; at His wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide His indignation. (Jeremiah 10:10) And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I hope in Thine ordinances. (Psalms 119:43) And YHVH shall be King over all the earth; in that day shall YHVH be One, and His name one. (Zechariah 14:9) YHVH will reign for ever, Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Hallelujah. (Psalms 146:10) Thy kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; save me in Thy lovingkindness. Let my heart be undivided in Thy statutes, in order that I may not be put to shame. To the Lord our God belong compassions and forgivenesses; for we have rebelled against Him. (Daniel 9:9) For we do not present our supplications before Thee because of our righteousness, but because of Thy great compassions. O Lord, hear, O Lord, forgive, O Lord, attend and do, defer not; for Thine own sake, O my God, because Thy name is called upon Thy city and Thy people. (Daniel 9:18*-19) Turn from Thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against Thy people. (Exodus 32:12*) Return for Thy servants’ sake, the tribes of Thine inheritance. Silent Prayer

Blessed be YHVH God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things; And blessed be His glorious name for ever; and let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 72:18-19) Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me. (Psalms 66:20) Please, O YHVH, God of Israel, may it be Your will to look from Your holy dwelling in heaven with mercy and see the greatness of my suffering, affliction, and humiliation. When my soul faints within me, cast me not off from before You. When my strength fails, save me in Your mercy from all my debts, forgive all my iniquities, and pardon all my transgressions. End my years in pleasantness, and have pity and mercy upon me and upon my entire family. Please cause me to have success in my current plans and endeavors, and guard me in this city from evil men, from violent persons, and from the wicked people of the generation. Likewise, save me from the terror of the strife of the wicked, who provoke upon the roads and gloat in the cities; save me from them. Make me not depend upon any man nor upon the hand of any flesh and blood. Open before me Your full and generous hand, give peace among us, and send blessing upon all our works. Feed us our allotted bread, and give us food to eat and clothing to wear, for we depend upon You, and in Your great and holy name do we trust and seek shelter.
