Sabbath Morning Prayer

Blessed be you YHVH our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified with his commandments to don four corners with tzitzit, Amen. (K.S.)

And YHVH commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear YHVH our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. And it shall be righteousness unto us, if we observe to do all this commandment before YHVH our God, as He hath commanded us. (Deuteronomy 6:24-25) He declareth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation; and as for His ordinances, they have not known them. Hallelujah. (Psalms 147:19-20) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

Who am I, but dust and ashes, wretched and woeful, vain and empty, that I may be worthy to stand in prayer before the great and awesome king, sublime and exalted is his name, the king of emperors, the Holy One blessed be He, the cause of all causes, the reason for all reasons; but I am dependent upon his great mercy and his magnificent grace, for he has mercy upon on his creations and accepts the prayers and supplications of his servants, as it is written: (K.S.) YHVH is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them. (Psalms 145:18-19) O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee doth all flesh come. (Psalms 65:3) Happy are they that dwell in Thy house, they are ever praising Thee. Selah. (Psalms 84:5)

O YHVH, in the morning shalt Thou hear my voice; in the morning will I order my prayer unto Thee, and will look forward. (Psalms 5:4) But as for me, unto Thee, O YHVH, do I cry, and in the morning doth my prayer come to meet Thee. (Psalms 88:14)

Blessed be the name of YHVH from this time forth and for ever. From the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof YHVH’S name is to be praised. (Psalms 113:2-3) A Psalm of David. Bless YHVH, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless YHVH, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; Who forgiveth all thine iniquity; who healeth all Thy diseases; Who redeemeth Thy life from the pit; who encompasseth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thine old age with good things; so that Thy youth is renewed like the eagle. YHVH executeth righteousness, and acts of justice for all that are oppressed. He made known His ways unto Moses, His doings unto the children of Israel. YHVH is full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always contend; neither will He keep His anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor requited us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father hath compassion upon his children, so hath YHVH compassion upon them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof knoweth it no more. But the mercy of YHVH is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children; To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His precepts to do them. YHVH hath established His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. Bless YHVH, ye angels of His, ye mighty in strength, that fulfil His word, hearkening unto the voice of His word. Bless YHVH, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure. Bless YHVH, all ye His works, in all places of His dominion; bless YHVH, O my soul. (Psalms 103:1-22)

Bless YHVH, O my soul. O YHVH my God, Thou art very great; Thou art clothed with glory and majesty. Who coverest Thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain; Who layest the beams of Thine upper chambers in the waters, who makest the clouds Thy chariot, who walkest upon the wings of the wind; Who makest winds Thy messengers, the flaming fire Thy ministers. Who didst establish the earth upon its foundations, that it should not be moved for ever and ever; Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains. At Thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of Thy thunder they hasted away — The mountains rose, the valleys sank down — unto the place which Thou hadst founded for them; Thou didst set a bound which they should not pass over, that they might not return to cover the earth. Who sendest forth springs into the valleys; they run between the mountains; They give drink to every beast of the field, the wild asses quench their thirst. Beside them dwell the fowl of the heaven, from among the branches they sing. Who waterest the mountains from Thine upper chambers; the earth is full of the fruit of Thy works. Who causeth the grass to spring up for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; to bring forth bread out of the earth, And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, making the face brighter than oil, and bread that stayeth man’s heart. The trees of YHVH have their fill, the cedars of Lebanon, which He hath planted; Wherein the birds make their nests; as for the stork, the fir-trees are her house. The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the conies. Who appointedst the moon for seasons; the sun knoweth his going down. Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth. The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God. The sun ariseth, they slink away, and couch in their dens. Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening. How manifold are Thy works, O YHVH! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; the earth is full of Thy creatures. Yonder sea, great and wide, therein are creeping things innumerable, living creatures, both small and great. There go the ships; there is leviathan, whom Thou hast formed to sport therein. All of them wait for Thee, that Thou mayest give them their food in due season. Thou givest it unto them, they gather it; Thou openest Thy hand, they are satisfied with good. Thou hidest Thy face, they vanish; Thou withdrawest their breath, they perish, and return to their dust. Thou sendest forth Thy spirit, they are created; and Thou renewest the face of the earth. May the glory of YHVH endure for ever; let YHVH rejoice in His works! Who looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; He toucheth the mountains, and they smoke. I will sing unto YHVH as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have any being. Let my musing be sweet unto Him; as for me, I will rejoice in YHVH. Let sinners cease out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless YHVH, O my soul. Hallelujah. (Psalms 104:1-35)

Blessed be YHVH God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things; And blessed be His glorious name for ever; and let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 72:18-19)

Stand and say:

O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee doth all flesh come. (Psalms 65:3) For YHVH hearkeneth unto the needy, and despiseth not His prisoners. (Psalms 69:34) For He hath not despised nor abhorred the lowliness of the poor; neither hath He hid His face from him; but when he cried unto Him, He heard.’ (Psalms 22:25) Hear, O YHVH, when I call with my voice, and be gracious unto me, and answer me. (Psalms 27:7) Hear, O YHVH, and be gracious unto me; YHVH, be Thou my helper.’ (Psalms 30:11) YHVH, I have called Thee; make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto Thee. (Psalms 141:1*) Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness, Thou who didst set me free when I was in distress; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer. (Psalms 4:2)

Hear, O Israel: YHVH is our God, YHVH is one. (Deuteronomy 6:4)

I will thank Thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify Thy name for evermore. (Psalms 86:12) O YHVH, Thy name endureth for ever; thy memorial, O YHVH, throughout all generations. (Psalms 135:13) YHVH by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens. (Proverbs 3:19) Thy lovingkindness, O YHVH, is in the heavens; Thy faithfulness reacheth unto the skies. (Psalms 36:6) YHVH hath established His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. (Psalms 103:19) O YHVH, our Lord, how glorious is Thy name in all the earth! whose majesty is rehearsed above the heavens. (Psalms 8:2)

O YHVH, there is none like Thee, neither is there any God beside Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. (1Chronicles 17:20) There is none like unto Thee, O YHVH; Thou art great, and Thy name is great in might. (Jeremiah 10:6-7) Thy righteousness also, O God, which reacheth unto high heaven; Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto Thee? (Psalms 71:19) Who is like unto Thee, O YHVH, among the mighty? who is like unto Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exodus 15:11) Thou art the God that doest wonders; Thou hast made known Thy strength among the peoples. (Psalms 77:15) O YHVH, Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name, for Thou hast done wonderful things; even counsels of old, in faithfulness and truth. (Isaiah 25:1)

And God said: ‘Let there be light.’ And there was light. (Genesis 1:3) I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I am YHVH, that doeth all these things. (Psalms 104:2) For, lo, He that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth; YHVH, the God of hosts, is His name. (Psalms 113:2-3) For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things; Thou art God alone. (Psalms 86:10) Thou art YHVH, even Thou alone; Thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all things that are thereon, the seas and all that is in them, and Thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven bows down unto Thee. (Nehemiah 9:6) We also will serve YHVH; for He is our God. (Joshua 24:18*) This is my God, and I will glorify Him; my father’s God, and I will exalt Him. (Exodus 15:2*) Thou art my God, and I will give thanks unto Thee; Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee. (Psalms 118:28)

O give thanks unto YHVH, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods, for His mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the Lord of lords, for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him who alone doeth great wonders, for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that by understanding made the heavens, for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that spread forth the earth above the waters, for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that made great lights, for His mercy endureth for ever; The sun to rule by day, for His mercy endureth for ever; The moon and stars to rule by night, for His mercy endureth for ever. (Psalms 136:1-9) Who giveth food to all flesh, for His mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of heaven, for His mercy endureth for ever. (Psalms 136:25-26) Let Thy mercy, O YHVH, be upon us, according as we have waited for Thee. (Psalms 33:22) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work; but the seventh day is a sabbath unto YHVH thy God, in it thou shalt not do any manner of work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; for in six days YHVH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day; wherefore YHVH blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:8-11)

It is a good thing to give thanks unto YHVH, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O Most High; To declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness in the night seasons. (Psalms 92:2-3) Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout for joy unto Him with psalms. (Psalms 95:2) Sing unto YHVH with thanksgiving, sing praises upon the harp unto our God. (Psalms 147:7) Offer unto God the sacrifice of thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most High. (Psalms 50:14) Whoso offereth the sacrifice of thanksgiving honoureth Me; and to him that ordereth his way aright will I show the salvation of God. (Psalms 50:23)

That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all Thy wondrous works. (Psalms 26:7)

A Psalm of thanksgiving. Shout unto YHVH, all the earth. Serve YHVH with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know ye that YHVH He is God; it is He that hath made us, and we our His, His people, and the flock of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; give thanks unto Him, and bless His name. For YHVH is good; His mercy endureth for ever; and His faithfulness unto all generations. (Psalms 100:1-5) The beginning of Thy word is truth; and all Thy righteous ordinance endureth for ever. (Psalms 119:160) Thou hast ordained Thy precepts, that we should observe them diligently. (Psalms 119:4)

And YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying: Command the children of Israel, and say unto them: My food which is presented unto Me for offerings made by fire, of a sweet savour unto Me, shall ye observe to offer unto Me in its due season. And thou shalt say unto them: This is the offering made by fire which ye shall bring unto YHVH: he-lambs of the first year without blemish, two day by day, for a continual burnt-offering. The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at dusk; and the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meal-offering, mingled with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil. It is a continual burnt-offering, which was offered in mount Sinai, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto YHVH. And the drink-offering thereof shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb; in the holy place shalt thou pour out a drink-offering of strong drink unto YHVH. And the other lamb shalt thou present at dusk; as the meal-offering of the morning, and as the drink-offering thereof, thou shalt present it, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto YHVH (Numbers 28:1-8)

And Aaron shall burn thereon incense of sweet spices; every morning, when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn it. (Exodus 30:7) And to stand every morning to thank and praise YHVH, and likewise at even; (1Chronicles 23:30) I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. (Psalms 69:31)

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; and let them say among the nations: ‘YHVH reigneth.’ (1Chronicles 16:31)

YHVH reigneth; let the peoples tremble; He is enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake. YHVH is great in Zion; and He is high above all the peoples. Let them praise Thy name as great and awful; Holy is He. The strength also of the king who loveth justice–Thou hast established equity, Thou hast executed justice and righteousness in Jacob. Exalt ye YHVH our God, and prostrate yourselves at His footstool; Holy is He. Moses and Aaron among His priests, and Samuel among them that call upon His name, did call upon YHVH, and He answered them. He spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud; they kept His testimonies, and the statute that He gave them. O YHVH our God, Thou didst answer them; a forgiving God wast Thou unto them, though Thou tookest vengeance of their misdeeds. Exalt ye YHVH our God, and bows down towards His holy hill; for YHVH our God is holy. (Psalms 99:1-9) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken Thy commandments. (Ezra 9:10) We have sinned with our fathers, we have done iniquitously, we have dealt wickedly. (Psalms 106:6) We have sinned, and have dealt iniquitously, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, and have turned aside from Thy commandments and from Thine ordinances. (Daniel 9:5) What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? (Genesis 44:16*) Because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. (Daniel 9:16*) The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning. The crown is fallen from our head; woe unto us! for we have sinned. For this our heart is faint, for these things our eyes are dim; For the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it. (Lamentations 5:15-18) If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, if I remember thee not; if I set not Jerusalem above my chiefest joy. (Psalms 137:5-6) Howbeit Thou art just in all that is come upon us; for Thou hast dealt truly, but we have done wickedly. (Nehemiah 9:33) Turn from Thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against Thy people. (Exodus 32:12*) Return for Thy servants’ sake, the tribes of Thine inheritance. (Isaiah 63:17*) Turn Thou us unto Thee, O YHVH, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. (Lamentations 5:21) And pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Thine inheritance. (Exodus 34:9*) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

Give ear to my words, O YHVH, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God; for unto Thee do I pray. O YHVH, in the morning shalt Thou hear my voice; in the morning will I order my prayer unto Thee, and will look forward. (Psalms 5:2-4) When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:7) But as for me, unto Thee, O YHVH, do I cry, and in the morning doth my prayer come to meet Thee. (Psalms 88:14) But as for me, I will sing of Thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning; for Thou hast been my high tower, and a refuge in the day of my distress. (Psalms 59:17) O satisfy us in the morning with Thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. (Psalms 90:14) Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning, for in Thee do I trust; cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for unto Thee have I lifted up my soul. (Psalms 143:8) O YHVH, be gracious unto us; we have waited for Thee; be Thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. (Isaiah 33:2) Forgive all iniquity, and accept that which is good; so will we render for bullocks the offering of our lips. (Hosea 14:3*) I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. And it shall please YHVH better than a bullock that hath horns and hoofs. (Psalms 69:31-32) O send out Thy light and Thy truth; let them lead me; let them bring me unto Thy holy mountain, and to Thy dwelling-places. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God, my exceeding joy; and praise Thee upon the harp, O God, my God. (Psalms 43:3-4) And I will offer in His tabernacle sacrifices with trumpet-sound; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto YHVH. (Psalms 27:6*) I will wash my hands in innocency; so will I compass Thine altar, O YHVH. (Psalms 26:6) I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of YHVH. I will pay my vows unto YHVH, yea, in the presence of all His people; In the courts of YHVH’S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah. (Psalms 116:17-19) Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto YHVH, as in the days of old, and as in ancient years. (Malachi 3:4) Turn Thou us unto Thee, O YHVH, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. (Lamentations 5:21) And pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Thine inheritance. (Exodus 34:9*) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. (Psalms 61:2)

But as for me, let my prayer be unto Thee, O YHVH, in an acceptable time; O God, in the abundance of Thy mercy, answer me with the truth of Thy salvation. (Psalms 69:14) Incline Thine ear, O YHVH, and answer me; for I am poor and needy. Keep my soul, for I am godly; O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee. Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto Thee do I cry all the day. Rejoice the soul of Thy servant; for unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to pardon, and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee. Give ear, O YHVH, unto my prayer; and attend unto the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I call upon Thee; for Thou wilt answer me. There is none like unto Thee among the gods, O Lord, and there are no works like Thine. All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and prostrate themselves before Thee, O Lord; and they shall glorify Thy name. For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things; Thou art God alone. Teach me, O YHVH, Thy way, that I may walk in Thy truth; make one my heart to fear Thy name. I will thank Thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify Thy name for evermore. For great is Thy mercy toward me; and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest nether-world. O God, the proud are risen up against me, and the company of violent men have sought after my soul, and have not set Thee before them. But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy and truth. O turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; give Thy strength unto Thy servant, and save the son of Thy handmaid. Work in my behalf a sign for good; that they that hate me may see it, and be put to shame, because Thou, YHVH, hast helped me, and comforted me. (Psalms 86:1*-17) My help cometh from YHVH, who made heaven and earth. (Psalms 121:2) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

O YHVH, the God of Israel, Thou art righteous; for we are left a remnant that is escaped, as it is this day; behold, we are before Thee in our guiltiness; for none can stand before Thee because of this. (Ezra 9:15) For our backslidings are many, we have sinned against Thee. (Jeremiah 14:7*) For our transgressions are multiplied before Thee, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are present to us, and as for our iniquities, we know them. (Isaiah 59:12) We acknowledge, O YHVH, our wickedness, even the iniquity of our fathers; for we have sinned against Thee. (Jeremiah 14:20) Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities. (Lamentations 5:7) And you performed your words that you spoke through Moses your servant. (K.S.) And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them. (Leviticus 26:39) Hallelujah. O give thanks unto YHVH; for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever. Who can express the mighty acts of YHVH, or make all His praise to be heard? Happy are they that keep justice, that do righteousness at all times. Remember me, O YHVH, when Thou favourest Thy people; O think of me at Thy salvation; That I may behold the prosperity of Thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation, that I may glory with Thine inheritance. We have sinned with our fathers, we have done iniquitously, we have dealt wickedly. (Psalms 106:1-6)

I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid; I said: ‘I will make confession concerning my transgressions unto YHVH’ –and Thou, Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah . (Psalms 32:5) See mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins. (Psalms 25:18) 4) There is no soundness in my flesh because of Thine indignation; neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin. For mine iniquities are gone over my head; as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me. (Psalms 38:4-5) The tale of iniquities is too heavy for me; as for our transgressions, Thou wilt pardon them. (Psalms 65:4) Though our iniquities testify against us, O YHVH, work Thou for Thy name’s sake; for our backslidings are many, we have sinned against Thee. (Jeremiah 14:7) If Thou, YHVH, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared. (Psalms 130:3-4) For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to pardon, and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee. (Psalms 86:5) As for me, I will call upon God; and YHVH shall save me. (Psalms 55:17) As for me, I shall behold Thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness. (Psalms 17:15) As for me, I said: ‘O YHVH, be gracious unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against Thee.’ (Psalms 41:5)

I have entreated Thy favour with my whole heart; be gracious unto me according to Thy word. (Psalms 119:58)

Be gracious unto me, O God, according to Thy mercy; according to the multitude of Thy compassions blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in Thy sight; that Thou mayest be justified when Thou speakest, and be in the right when Thou judgest. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts; make me, therefore, to know wisdom in mine inmost heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which Thou hast crushed may rejoice. Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create me a clean heart, O God; and renew a stedfast spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and let a willing spirit uphold me. Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways; and sinners shall return unto Thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, Thou God of my salvation; so shall my tongue sing aloud of Thy righteousness. O Lord, open Thou my lips; and my mouth shall declare Thy praise. For Thou delightest not in sacrifice, else would I give it; Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Do good in Thy favour unto Zion; build Thou the walls of Jerusalem. Then wilt Thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt-offering and whole offering; then will they offer bullocks upon Thine altar. (Psalms 51:3-21)

Who is a God like unto Thee, that pardoneth the iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy. He will again have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt show faithfulness to Jacob, mercy to Abraham, as Thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old. (Micah 7:18-20) For YHVH thy God is a merciful God; He will not fail thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which He swore unto them. (Deuteronomy 4:31) And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break My covenant with them; for I am YHVH their God. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am YHVH. (Leviticus 26:44-45) Then will I remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. (Leviticus 26:42) Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Thy servants, to whom Thou didst swear by Thine own self, and saidst unto them: I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. (Exodus 32:13) Remember Thy congregation, which Thou hast gotten of old, which Thou hast redeemed to be the tribe of Thine inheritance; and mount Zion, wherein Thou hast dwelt. Rejoice the soul of Thy servant; for unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. (Psalms 86:4)

Unto Thee, O YHVH, do I lift up my soul. O my God, in Thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, none that wait for Thee shall be ashamed; they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause. Show me Thy ways, O YHVH; teach me Thy paths. Guide me in Thy truth, and teach me; for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee do I wait all the day. Remember, O YHVH, Thy compassions and Thy mercies; for they have been from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Thy mercy remember Thou me, for Thy goodness’ sake, O YHVH. Good and upright is YHVH; therefore doth He instruct sinners in the way. He guideth The humble in justice; and He teacheth the humble His way. All the paths of YHVH are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Thy name’s sake, O YHVH, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great. What man is he that feareth YHVH? him will He instruct in the way that He should choose. His soul shall abide in prosperity; and his seed shall inherit the land. The counsel of YHVH is with them that fear Him; and His covenant, to make them know it. Mine eyes are ever toward YHVH; for He will bring forth my feet out of the net. Turn Thee unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring Thou me out of my distresses. See mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins. Consider how many are mine enemies, and the cruel hatred wherewith they hate me. O keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I have taken refuge in Thee. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for Thee. As for God, His way is perfect; the word of YHVH is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in Him. (Psalms 18:31) Every word of God is tried; He is a shield unto them that take refuge in Him. (Proverbs 30:5) I am all peace; but when I speak, they are for war. (Psalms 12:7) I rejoice at Thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. (Psalms 119:162) How sweet are Thy words unto my palate! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! (Psalms 119:103) Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. (Proverbs 16:24) Thy word is tried to the uttermost, and Thy servant loveth it. (Psalms 119:140)

And YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying: ‘Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying: Verily ye shall keep My sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that ye may know that I am YHVH who sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore, for it is holy unto you; every one that profaneth it shall surely be put to death; for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to YHVH; whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel for ever; for in six days YHVH made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He ceased from work and rested.’ (Exodus 31:12-17) And Moses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said unto them: ‘These are the words which YHVH hath commanded, that ye should do them. Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you a holy day, a sabbath of solemn rest to YHVH; whosoever doeth any work therein shall be put to death. Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.’ (Exodus 35:1-3)

And YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying: Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: The appointed seasons of YHVH, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My appointed seasons. Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of work; it is a sabbath unto YHVH in all your dwellings. (Leviticus 23:1-3) And on the sabbath day two he-lambs of the first year without blemish, and two tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour for a meal-offering, mingled with oil, and the drink-offering thereof. This is the burnt-offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt-offering, and the drink-offering thereof. (Numbers 28:9-10) and to offer all burnt-offerings unto YHVH, on the sabbaths, on the new moons, and in the appointed seasons, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually, before YHVH. (1Chronicles 23:31) Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spokest with them from heaven, and gavest them right ordinances and laws of truth, good statutes and commandments; and madest known unto them Thy holy sabbath, and didst command them commandments, and statutes, and a law, by the hand of Moses Thy servant. (Nehemiah 9:13-14) Thus saith YHVH: Keep ye justice, and do righteousness; for My salvation is near to come, and My favour to be revealed. Happy is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth fast by it: that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. (Isaiah 56:1-2) If thou turn away thy foot because of the sabbath, from pursuing thy business on My holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, and the holy of YHVH honourable; and shalt honour it, not doing thy wonted ways, nor pursuing thy business, nor speaking thereof; Then shalt thou delight thyself in YHVH, and I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father; for the mouth of YHVH hath spoken it. (Isaiah 58:13-14) Ye shall keep My sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am YHVH. (Leviticus 19:30) Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and ye shall keep My sabbaths: I am YHVH your God. (Leviticus 19:3)

I will sing unto YHVH as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have any being. (Psalms 104:33)

A Psalm, a Song. For the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto YHVH, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O Most High; To declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness in the night seasons, With an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery; with a solemn sound upon the harp. For Thou, YHVH, hast made me glad through Thy work; I will exult in the works of Thy hands. How great are Thy works, O YHVH! Thy thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand this. When the wicked spring up as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they may be destroyed for ever. But Thou, O YHVH, art on high for evermore. For, lo, Thine enemies, O YHVH, for, lo, Thine enemies shall perish: all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. But my horn hast Thou exalted like the horn of the wild-ox; I am anointed with rich oil. Mine eye also hath gazed on them that lie in wait for me, mine ears have heard my desire of the evil-doers that rise up against me. The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of YHVH, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and richness; To declare that YHVH is upright, my Rock, in whom there is no unrighteousness. (Psalms 92:1-16) Blessed be YHVH for evermore. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 89:53)

And when the burnt-offering began, the song of YHVH began also, and the trumpets, together with the instruments of David king of Israel. And all the congregation prostrated themselves, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded; all this continued until the burnt-offering was finished. And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves and prostrated themselves. (2Chronicles 29:27*-28) And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken Thy commandments. (Ezra 1:9) We have sinned with our fathers, we have done iniquitously, we have dealt wickedly. (Psalms 106:6) We acknowledge, O YHVH, our wickedness, even the iniquity of our fathers; for we have sinned against Thee. (Jeremiah 14:20)

Our God and God of our fathers, we have sinned, become guilty, betrayed, robbed, slandered, done iniquitously, dealt wickedly, acted with malice, partaken in violence, forged lies, imparted evil council, lied, scorned, rebelled, provoked, acted stubbornly, commited iniquity, transgressed, oppressed, been stiff-necked, done evil, dealt corruptly, strayed, commited abominations and turned away from your good commandments and judgements, and it has not profited us. Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awful God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the travail seem little before Thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all Thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day. Howbeit Thou art just in all that is come upon us; for Thou hast dealt truly, but we have done wickedly. (Nehemiah 9:32-33) Turn from Thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against Thy people. (Exodus 32:12*) Return for Thy servants’ sake, the tribes of Thine inheritance. (Isaiah 63:17*) Turn Thou us unto Thee, O YHVH, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. For the Leader; upon Shoshannim. A testimony. A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; Thou that art enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth. Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Thy might, and come to save us. O God, restore us; and cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. O YHVH God of hosts, how long wilt Thou be angry against the prayer of Thy people? Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure. Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours; and our enemies mock as they please. O God of hosts, restore us; and cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. Thou didst pluck up a vine out of Egypt; Thou didst drive out the nations, and didst plant it. Thou didst clear a place before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land. The mountains were covered with the shadow of it, and the mighty cedars with the boughs thereof. She sent out her branches unto the sea, and her shoots unto the River. Why hast Thou broken down her fences, so that all they that pass by the way do pluck her? The boar out of the wood doth ravage it, that which moveth in the field feedeth on it. O God of hosts, return, we beseech Thee; look from heaven, and behold, and be mindful of this vine, And of the stock which Thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that Thou madest strong for Thyself. It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Thy countenance. Let Thy hand be upon the man of Thy right hand, upon the son of man whom Thou madest strong for Thyself. So shall we not turn back from Thee; quicken Thou us, and we will call upon Thy name. O YHVH God of hosts, restore us; cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. (Psalms 80:1-20)

Save us, O YHVH our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks unto Thy holy name, that we may triumph in Thy praise. Be pleased, O YHVH, to deliver me; O YHVH, make haste to help me. (Psalms 40:14)

YHVH, Thou hast been favourable unto Thy land, Thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast pardoned all their sin. Selah Thou hast withdrawn all Thy wrath; Thou hast turned from the fierceness of Thine anger. Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Thine indignation toward us to cease. Wilt Thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt Thou draw out Thine anger to all generations? Wilt Thou not quicken us again, that Thy people may rejoice in Thee? Show us Thy mercy, O YHVH, and grant us Thy salvation. I will hear what God YHVH will speak; for He will speak peace unto His people, and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely His salvation is nigh them that fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth springeth out of the earth; and righteousness hath looked down from heaven. Yea, YHVH will give that which is good; and our land shall yield her produce. And there hath not arisen a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom YHVH knew face to face. (Deuteronomy 34:10)

A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, Thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God. Thou turnest man to contrition; and sayest: ‘Return, ye children of men.’ For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. For we are consumed in Thine anger, and by Thy wrath are we hurried away. Thou hast set our iniquities before Thee, our secret sins in the light of Thy countenance. For all our days are passed away in Thy wrath; we bring our years to an end as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength fourscore years; yet is their pride but travail and vanity; for it is speedily gone, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of Thine anger, and Thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto Thee? So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom. Return, O YHVH; how long? And let it repent Thee concerning Thy servants. O satisfy us in the morning with Thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein Thou hast afflicted us, according to the years wherein we have seen evil. Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, and Thy glory upon their children. And let the graciousness of the Lord our God be upon us; establish Thou also upon us the work of our hands; yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it. (Psalms 90:1-17)

Do not contemn us, for Thy name’s sake, do not dishonour the throne of Thy glory; remember, break not Thy covenant with us. (Jeremiah 14:21) Turn Thou us unto Thee, O YHVH, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. (Lamentations 5:1) Look down from heaven, and see, even from Thy holy and glorious habitation; where is Thy zeal and Thy mighty acts, the yearning of Thy heart and Thy compassions, now restrained toward me? For Thou art our Father; for Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us; Thou, O YHVH, art our Father, our Redeemer from everlasting is Thy name. (Isaiah 63:15-16) But now, O YHVH, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou our potter, and we all are the work of Thy hand. Be not wroth very sore, O YHVH, neither remember iniquity for ever; behold, look, we beseech Thee, we are all Thy people. Thy holy cities are become a wilderness, Zion is become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised Thee, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant things are laid waste. (Isaiah 64:7-10)

Regarding the desecration of your name and the desecration of your perfect Torah and the desecration and desolation of your holy Temple that is desolate. (K.S.) Wilt Thou refrain Thyself for these things, O YHVH? Wilt Thou hold Thy peace, and afflict us very sore? (Isaiah 64:11) O Thou hope of Israel, the Saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest Thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? Why shouldest thou be as a man overcome, as a mighty man that cannot save? Yet Thou, O YHVH, art in the midst of us, and Thy name is called upon us; leave us not. (Jeremiah 14:8-9) But Zion said: ‘YHVH hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.’ Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee. (Isaiah 49:14-15) But as for me, in Thy mercy do I trust; my heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation. I will sing unto YHVH, because He hath dealt bountifully with me. (Psalms 13:2-6) I will sing unto YHVH as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have any being. Let my musing be sweet unto Him; as for me, I will rejoice in YHVH. (Psalms 104:33-34) But we will bless YHVH from this time forth and for ever. Hallelujah. Sabbath Sanctification:

Oh how abundant is Thy goodness, which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee; which Thou hast wrought for them that take their refuge in Thee, in the sight of the sons of men! (Psalms 31:20) How precious is Thy lovingkindness, O God! and the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Thy wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fatness of Thy house; and Thou makest them drink of the river of Thy pleasures. For with Thee is the fountain of life; in Thy light do we see light. O continue Thy lovingkindness unto them that know Thee; and Thy righteousness to the upright in heart. (Psalms 36:8-11) Thy righteousness also, O God, which reacheth unto high heaven; Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto Thee? (Psalms 71:19) There is none holy as YHVH, for there is none beside Thee; neither is there any rock like our God. (1Samuel 2:2) Yet Thou art holy, O Thou that art enthroned upon the praises of Israel. (Psalms 22:4)

Ye shall keep My sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am YHVH. (Leviticus 19:30) Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and ye shall keep My sabbaths: I am YHVH your God. (Leviticus 19:3) I will say to the north: ‘Give up,’ and to the south: ‘Keep not back, bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the end of the earth. (Isaiah 43:6) Thus will I magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself, and I will make Myself known in the eyes of many nations; and they shall know that I am YHVH. (Ezekiel 38:23) And My holy name will I make known in the midst of My people Israel; neither will I suffer My holy name to be profaned any more; and the nations shall know that I am YHVH, the Holy One in Israel. (Ezekiel 39:7) Our Redeemer, YHVH of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 47:4)

God reigneth over the nations; God sitteth upon His holy throne. (Psalms 47:9) But YHVH is enthroned for ever; He hath established His throne for judgment. (Psalms 9:8) Sitting upon a throne high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple. Above Him stood the seraphim; each one had six wings: with twain he covered his face and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one called unto another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, is YHVH of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory. (Isaiah 6:1*-3)

But Judah shall be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. And I will hold as innocent their blood that I have not held as innocent; and YHVH dwelleth in Zion. (Joel 4:20-21) For YHVH hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation: ‘This is My resting-place for ever; here will I dwell; for I have desired it. (Psalms 132:13-14) When YHVH hath built up Zion, when He hath appeared in His glory. (Psalms 102:17) Blessed be the glory of YHVH from His place. (Ezekiel 3:12*)

‘Wherewith shall I come before YHVH, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before Him with burnt-offerings, with calves of a year old? Will YHVH be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my first-born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?’ It hath been told thee, O man, what is good, and what YHVH doth require of thee: only to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. (Micah 6:6-8) Hearken unto Me, O Jacob, and Israel My called: I am He; I am the first, I also am the last. (Isaiah 48:12)

Hear, O Israel: YHVH is our God, YHVH is one. (Deuteronomy 6:4)

One is our God, great is our Lord; holy and mighty is His name forever more. (K.S.)

And thou shalt love YHVH thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart; and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates. (Deuteronomy 6:5-9)

And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto My commandments which I command you this day, to love YHVH your God, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. And I will give grass in thy fields for thy cattle, and thou shalt eat and be satisfied. Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and bow down unto them; and the anger of YHVH be kindled against you, and He shut up the heaven, so that there shall be no rain, and the ground shall not yield her fruit; and ye perish quickly from off the good land which YHVH giveth you. Therefore shall ye lay up these My words in your heart and in your soul; and ye shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, talking of them, when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates; that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, upon the land which YHVH swore unto your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth. (Deuteronomy 11:13-21)

And YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying: ‘Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them throughout their generations fringes in the corners of their garments, and that they put with the fringe of each corner a thread of blue. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of YHVH, and do them; and that ye go not about after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go astray; that ye may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy unto your God. YHVH our God is one God; Truth! And His Torah is perfect; Truth! And His Temple is the House of Prayer; Truth! And His prophets; Truth! And His sanctified Sabbaths; Truth! And His commandments and His statutes and His testimonies and His judgement and all His words; Truth! (K.S.) But YHVH is the true God, He is the living God, and the everlasting King; at His wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide His indignation. Silent Prayer

Blessed be YHVH God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things; And blessed be His glorious name for ever; and let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen. (Psalms 72:18-19) Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me. (Psalms 66:20) Please, O YHVH, God of Israel, may it be Your will to look from Your holy dwelling in heaven with mercy and see the greatness of my suffering, affliction, and humiliation. When my soul faints within me, cast me not off from before You. When my strength fails, save me in Your mercy from all my debts, forgive all my iniquities, and pardon all my transgressions. End my years in pleasantness, and have pity and mercy upon me and upon my entire family. Please cause me to have success in my current plans and endeavors, and guard me in this city from evil men, from violent persons, and from the wicked people of the generation. Likewise, save me from the terror of the strife of the wicked, who provoke upon the roads and gloat in the cities; save me from them. Make me not depend upon any man nor upon the hand of any flesh and blood. Open before me Your full and generous hand, give peace among us, and send blessing upon all our works. Feed us our allotted bread, and give us food to eat and clothing to wear, for we depend upon You, and in Your great and holy name do we trust and seek shelter.
