תפלת בית אהבה (Tefilat Beit Ahaḇah) A Book of Prayer for Jewish Worship (1893) is Rabbi Edward N. Calisch’s prayerbook compiled for Beth Ahaḇa (now Congregation Beth Ahabah), a Reform movement congregation in Richmond, Virginia. The siddur is comprised of two sections; the first half following the custom of public prayer in the congregation and the second half: a hymnal, a number of responsive readings, and a collection of prayers for holidays, other special occasions, and for use in the cemetery.

This work is in the Public Domain due to its having been published more than 95 years ago.
This digital edition was prepared by Aharon Varady for the Open Siddur Project from a copy held in the collection of the HUC-JIR Klau Library in Cincinnati, Ohio. (Thank you!) This work is cross-posted to the Internet Archive, as a repository for our transcription efforts.
PREFACE
This book does not lay claim to any striking innovation, nor does it aspire to fill any long-felt want. It is simply and solely an individual affair of the Congregation “Beth Ahaba,” in obedience to a resolution of whose Board of Governors, it was compiled, and under the supervision of a Ritual Committee, appointed by said board.
There is no attempt made to displace any other book of prayer now in use by any congregation, for it was not the intention to have the book go outside of the Congregation “Beth Ahaba,” though there are no objections, if the book should be desired.
The compiler is deeply grateful to the kind friends, who have aided him with suggestions and contributions, especially in the hymnal portion, and to the compilers of “Abodath Yisroel,” to allof whom gratitude is hereby cheerfully expressed.
The prayer is breathed that this book may be the means of spiritual help, and if to only one person, it shall not have been in vain.
