Resources at the Open Siddur Project are mainly shared with one of three open content licenses maintained by the Creative Commons (CC0, CC BY, and CC BY-SA) unless otherwise indicated. Some exceptional resources are either fully under copyright and shared under either a Reproduction Right (for works set to enter the Public Domain within 20 years), or with a Fair Use Right. Other resources were never under copyright in the United States due to their having been published by the US government, or by a foreign government. Resources that are in the Public Domain due to the expiration of a copyright renewal (for works published between 1 January 1924 and 1 January 1964), or for some other issue effecting works published between 1 January 1965 and 1 March 1989. (For our project’s copyright policy, go here.)
