מִי שֶׁבֵּרַךְ אֲבוֹתֵֽינוּ.
אַבְרָהָם יִצְחָק וְיַֽעֲקֹב.
מֹשֶׁה וְאַֽהֲרֹן.
וְדָוִד וּשְׁלֹמֹה.
וְכׇל־הַקְּהִלּוֹת הַקְּדוֹשׁוֹת וְהַטְּהוֹרוֹת.
הוּא יְבָרֵךְ אֶת־כׇּל־הַקָּהָל הַקָּדוֹשׁ הַזֶּה.
גְּדֹלִים וּקְטַנִּים.
הֵם.
וּבְנֵיהֶם. וּנְשֵׁיהֶם.
וְתַלְמִֽידֵיהֶם.
וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁה לָהֶם׃

He who blessed our fathers,
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
Moses and Aaron,
David and Solomon,
and all His congregations holy and pious,
may He bless also this holy congregation,
its great and its humble,
them,
their wives and their children,
the students among them,
and all who belong to them.

מַלְּכָּא דְעָֽלְמָא הוּא יְבָרֵךְ יָֽתְכוֹן.
וִֽיזַכֶּה יָֽתְכוֹן.
וְיִשְׁמַע בְּקָל צְלֽוֹתְכוֹן.
תִּתְפָּֽרְקוּן וְתִשְׁתֵּֽזְבוּן מִכׇּל־צָרָה וְעָֽקְתָא.
וִיהֵא מֵֽימְרָא דׇיְיָ בְּסַֽעַדְכֶם. וְיָגֵן בַּֽעַדְכֶם.
וְיִפְרוֹשׁ סֻכַּת שְׁלוֹמוֹ עֲלֵיכֶם.
וְיִטַּע בֵּֽינֵיכֶם אַֽהֲבָה וְאַֽחֲוָה.
שָׁלוֹם וְרֵעוּת.
וִֽיסַלֵּק שִׂנְאַת חִנָּם מִבֵּֽינֵיכֶם.
וְיִשְׁבֹּר עֹל הַגּוֹיִם מֵעַל־צַוָּֽארֵיכֶם׃
וִֽיקַיֵּם בָּכֶם מִקרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב.
יְהֹוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֽוֹתֵכֶ֗ם יֹסֵ֧ף עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם כָּכֶ֖ם אֶ֣לֶף פְּעָמִ֑ים
וִיבָרֵ֣ךְ אֶתְכֶ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּ֥ר לָכֶֽם׃ (דברים א:יא)
וְכֵן יְהִי רָצוֹן
וְנֹאמַר אָמֵן׃

May the Ruler of the universe bless you,
grant you merit,
and hearken to your voice of prayer.
May you be saved and delivered from all distress and trouble.
May the Lord be your shield and support.
May He spread the tabernacle of His peace over you
and plant among you brotherly love,
peace and amity.
May He remove all prejudice from among you,
and break the yoke of the nations from your neck.
May He fulfil for you the Biblical word,
“The Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times as many as you are
and bless you as He promised you.”
May this be the will of God,
and let us say, Amen.

From a family of musicians, Isaac Gantwerk Mayer believes that creative art is one of the most powerful ways to get in touch with the divine. He composes music and poetry in Hebrew and English. (He also translates and authors his own original works.) Isaac runs a Jewish music transcription service, which will transcribe and set any Jewish music in any language, recorded or written. David de Sola Pool

David de Sola Pool (דוד די סולה פול;‎ 1885–1970) was the leading 20th-century Sephardic rabbi in the United States. A scholar, author, and civic leader, he was a world leader of Judaism. Born in London, England, de Sola Pool was descended from an old and renowned family of rabbis and scholars, de Sola, which traces its origins to medieval Spain. His great grandparents were Rabbi (R.) David Aaron de Sola and Rebecca Meldola, his great-great grandfather was Haham Raphael Meldola, a prominent English Rabbi. He was also related to R. Abraham de Sola, R. Henry Pereira Mendes and Dr. Frederick de Sola Mendes. He studied at the University of London. He held a doctorate in ancient languages, summa cum laude, from the University of Heidelberg. In 1907, de Sola Pool was invited to become the rabbi of Congregation Shearith Israel — often called the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue — located in New York City, the oldest Jewish congregation in the United States. He served as its rabbi for 63 years.
