O eternal God, Thou art the Master of our destiny and the source of all life. Our times are in Thy hand. We thank Thee day by day for Thy manifold blessings and, as year follows year, we are grateful that Thou hast sustained us.
We gather today in special joy and thankfulness to share in the happiness of our dear (___). It is Thou who hast granted him/her) strength and life. Bless him/her, O Lord, with health and joy. Sustain him/her in times of sickness and console him/her in days of sorrow. Endow him/her with long life and abundance of blessing; and grant to us the joy of meeting, for many years, as on this day, a loving family in mutual reverence and unbroken unity.
Praised be Thou, O Lord, our God, Ruler of the world, who hast kept us in life, sustained us and brought us to this happy day. |
Praised be Thou, O Lord our God, Ruler of the world, who causest the earth to yield food for all. |
