Part Two in which are readings for Ḥanukkah and Purim. To enact the words of the wise teachers as was commanded by the Great one. May the Foundation lift up his people and banish our enemies. 1793

ḤANUKKAH

Elevated and venerated is the merit of one who is exceedingly careful in the mitsvah of the Ḥanukkah candle – in such he will merit to have children, and those children will be wise students, for as a reward he will spread and earn what is written, with the help of Hashem.

“To unify the blessed Holy One…”

Now I come to enact the mitsvah of lighting the Ḥanukkah candle and to repair the chain in the realm of Elyon. May it be your will, YHVH my elo’ah and elo’ah of my ancestors that this time will be acceptable before you, to be a fulfillment of the commandment to light the Ḥanukkah candle, as if I had achieved call the wondrous and awesome secrets which are inscribed within it. And may it go up before you with the intent of a mitsvah performed by those who love you and know all the intents of your holy and good names. That this lighting may come and elevate the unification and pairing of the holy and supreme traits and to illuminate the presence of your strength, the great luminaries in which the dove of Noaḥ found a place to rest its foot, and her light will not be extinguished by night, and the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and he will drink from the brook on the path, and thereby will lift up his head.

And from there to me I am your servant, may I be enlightened by the light of the living. For you light my light, YHVH. My elo’ah will light my darkness. Send your light and your truth, let them bring me to fear and love your name. And with the power and boon of this lighting of the illuminations of the Ḥanukkah candle, make us wise in the light of your tour, us and our descendants, and our descendants’ descendants, as was told, “[My spirit is upon you, and will not depart from your mouth, nor…]from the mouth of your descendants, and from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants, said YHVH from now and forevermore.”^[1] Isaiah 59:21. 

By the merit of Matatiyah, high priest, and his children in the victory of your glory, show us wonder from within your light, we will see – and show us your face on your desolate sanctuary. And in the evening there will be light and our eyes will turn with your ascension to the lights which are before the Menorah, completely of gold, and a bowl atop it, and seven lights on it, and seven channels to the lights, and a king in his beauty, our eyes shall see, amen.

May the pleasantness of Adonai our elo’ah be upon us; may our handiwork be established for us — our handiwork, may it be established.^[2] Psalms 90:17

We thank you, Elohim, we thank you and your name is close,
they tell of your wonders!^[5] Psalms 80:15. 

We have thought, Elohim, of your kindness within your temple.^[6] Psalms 48:10. 

May you, therefore, YHVH Elohim Tsevaot Elohei Yisrael,
rise yourself to punish the nations –
show no mercy to to the iniquitous traitors, Selah!^[7] Psalms 59:6. 

There is a river whose streams make happy the city of Elohim,
the holy place where Elyon dwells.^[8] Psalms 46:5. 

Inform us, YHVH our elo’ah,
and gather us from among the nations to praise your holy name
and to be made proud in your exaltation.^[9] Psalms 106:47. 

YHVH Elohim Tsevaot, return to us,
shine your face and we will be saved.^[10] Psalms 80:20. 

May the words of my mouth and the prayer of my heart be acceptable before you,
YHVH, my rock-fortress and my redeemer.^[11] Psalms 19:15.
