For the sin we committed before our empowered selves by victimizing ourselves; |
עַל חֵטְא שֶׁחָטָאנוּ לְפָנֶיךָ בְּהִתְכַּחֲשׁוּת לְאוֹר־הַיְּקָרוֹת הַמָּצוּי בְּתוֹכֵנוּ; |
For the sin we committed before you by denying the precious light within; |
עַל חֵטְא שֶׁחָטָאנוּ לְפָנֶיךָ בְּהִתְכַּחֲשׁוּת לְחוּלְשׁוֹתֵינוּ וְטָעֻיּוֹתֵינוּ, מִתּוֹךְ יֵצֶר גַּאֲוָה; |
For the sin we committed before you by denying our weaknesses and our mistakes, out of misguided pride; |

For the sin we committed before others by accusing them, rather than taking responsibility; |

For the sin we committed before you by self-absorption, by focusing on our families, by withholding our goodness from others; |

For the sin we committed before you by speaking falsehood out of fear of the consequences of truth; |

For the sin we committed before our parents by being judgmental and by lacking compassion; |
