Blessed art thou, O God our King.
The Lord of life and everything.
Whose strength and might do fill the world.
(And when his thunderbolts are hurled,
I still am safe within his arm
Whose might and strength are shields from harm.)

This paraliturgical supplement to the blessing upon hearing thunder was written by Jessie Ethel Sampter and published in her Around the Year in Rhymes for the Jewish Child (1920), p. 87.
