תָּא חֲזִי, בְּכָל שִׁיתָא יוֹמֵי דְּשַׁבְּתָא כַּד מָטָא שַׁעֲתָא דִּצְלוֹתָא דְּמִנְחָה דִּינָא תַּקִּיפָא שַׁלְטָא וְכָל דִּינִין מִתְעָרִין, בְּיוֹמָא דְּשַׁבְּתָא כַּד מָטָא עִדַן צְלוֹתָא דְּמִנְחָה רַעֲוָא דְּרַעֲוִין אִשְׁתְּכַח וְעַתִּיקָא קַדִּישָׁא גלי רָצוֹן דִּילֵיהּ וְכָל דִּינִין אִתְכַּפְיָין וּמִשְׁתְּכַח רְעוּתָא וְחֶדְוָותָא בְּכֹלָּא.
[continued] “Come and see: On all six days of the week, when the hour of minḥah arrives, harsh Judgment rules and all judgments arouse. On the Shabbat day, when the time of minḥah arrives, Will of Wills appears and the Holy Ancient One reveals His will; all judgments are suppressed, and favor and joy pervade everywhere.”
וּבְהַאי רָצוֹן אִסְתַּלָּק מֹשֶׁה נְבִיאָה מְהֵימָנָא קַדִּישָׁא מֵעָלְמָא בְּגִין לְמִנְדַּע דְּלָא בְּדִינָא אִסְתַּלָּק וְהַהוּא שַׁעֲתָא בְּרָצוֹן דְּעַתִּיקָא קַדִּישָׁא נָפַק נִשְׁמָתֵיהּ וְאִיטָמַּר בֵּיהּ וּבְגִין כַּךְ “וְלֹא־יָדַע אִישׁ אֶת־קְבֻרָתוֹ” (דברים לד:ו) כְּתִיב. מַה עַתִּיקָא קַדִּישָׁא טְמִירָא מִכָּל טְמִירִין וְלָא יַדְעִין עִלָּאִין וְתַתָּאִין, אוּף הָכָא הַאי נִשְׁמְתָא דְּאִתְטַמַּר בְּהַאי רָצוֹן דְּאִתְגַּלְיָא בִּצְלוֹתָא דְּמִנְחָה דְּשַׁבְּתָא כְּתִיב “וְלֹא־יָדַע אִישׁ אֶת־קְבֻרָתוֹ” וְהוּא טָמִיר מִכָּל טְמִירִין דְּעָלְמָא וְדִינָא לָא שַׁלְטָא בֵּיהּ, זַכָּאָה חוּלָקֵיהּ דְּמֹשֶׁה.
“Through this will, Mosheh—holy, faithful prophet—departed from the world, in order to demonstrate that he did not depart by Judgment. At that moment, through the will of the Holy Ancient One his soul left and was concealed therein. Therefore it is written: ‘No man knows his burial place'[1] Deuteronomy 34:6. . Just as the Holy Ancient One is concealed of all concealed, unknown by those above or below, so here of this soul—concealed within this will appearing at minḥah of Shabbat—is written ‘No man knows his burial place.’ It is more concealed than anything in the world, and Judgment has no dominion over it. Happy is the share of Mosheh!”
תָּאנָא בְּהַאי יוֹמָא דְּאוֹרַיְיתָא מִתְעַטְּרָא בֵּיהּ מִתְעַטְּרָא בְּכֹלָּא בְּכָל אִינּוּן פִּקּוּדִין בְּכָל אִינּוּן גִּזְרִין וְעוֹנָשִׁין בְּשִׁבְעִין עֲנָפִין דִּנְהוֹרָא דְּזָהֲרִין מִכָּל סִטְרָא וְסִטְרָא. מַאן חָמֵי עֲנָפִין דְּנָפְקִין מִכָּל עֲנָפָא וַעֲנָפָא, חֲמִשָּׁא קַיְימִין בְּגוֹ אִילָנָא כֻּלְּהוּ עֲנָפִין בְּהוּ אֲחִידָן. מַאן חָמֵי אִינּוּן תַּרְעִין דְּמַפְתְּחָן בְּכָל סְטָר וּסְטָר כֻּלְּהוּ מִזְדַּהֲרִין וְנַהֲרִין בְּהַהוּא נְהוֹרָא דְּנָפִיק וְלָא פָּסִק.
“It has been taught: On this day when Torah is crowned, it is crowned with all: with all those commandments, with all those decrees and punishments, with seventy branches of light, radiating on every side. Who has seen the branches emerging from each branch—five standing within the tree, to which all branches are attached? Who has seen those gates, open on every side, all radiant and resplendent with that streaming light issuing ceaselessly.”
קָל כָּרוֹזָא נָפִיק אִתְּעֲרוּ קַדִּישֵׁי עֶלְיוֹנִין אִתְּעֲרוּ עַמָּא קַדִּישָׁא דְּאִתְבַּחֲר לְעֵילָּא וְתַתָּא, אִתְּעֲרוּ חֶדְוָותָא לְקַדְמוּת מָארֵיכוֹן, אִתְּעֲרוּ בְּחֶדְוָותָא שְׁלֵימָתָא. אִזְדְּמָנוּ בִּתְלַת חֶדְוָון בִּתְלַת אֲבָהָן, אִזְדְּמָנוּ לְקַדְמוּת מְהֵימָנוּתָא דְּחֶדְוָוה דְּכָל חֶדְוָותָא. זַכָּאָה חוּלְקֵכוֹן יִשְׂרָאֵל קַדִּישִׁין בְּעָלְמָא דֵּין וּבְעָלְמָא דְּאָתֵי, דָּא הוּא יָרוּתָא לְכוֹן מִכָּל שְׁאַר עַמִּין, וְעַל דָּא כְּתִיב “בֵּינִי וּבֵין בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל” (שמות לא:יז חלק).
“The voice of a herald proclaims: ‘Arise, supernal holy ones! Arise, holy people, chosen above and below! Arouse joy toward joy! Prepare yourselves with three joys, with three patriarchs! Prepare to greet the faith of joy of all joys! Happy is your share, O holy Yisrael, in this world and in the world that is coming! This is your heritage, distinct from all other nations, of which is written ‘between Me and the Children of Yisrael'[2] Exodus 31:17 part. ’.”
אָמַר רַבִּי יְהוּדָה וַדַּאי כְּתִיב “זָכוֹר אֶת־יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת לְקַדְּשׁוֹ” (שמות כ:ח חלק), וּכְתִיב “קְדֹשִׁים תִּהְיוּ כִּי קָדוֹשׁ אֲנִי יְהוָה” (ויקרא יט:ב חלק), וּכְתִיב “וְקָרָאתָ לַשַּׁבָּת עֹנֶג לִקְדוֹשׁ יְהוָה מְכֻבָּד” (ישעיה נח:יג).
Rabbi Yehudah said, “Surely it is written: ‘Remember the Shabbat day to keep it holy,'[3] Exodus 20:8 part.  and ‘You shall be holy, for I YHVH am holy,'[4] Leviticus 19:2 part.  and ‘Call the Shabbat: delight; the holy of YHVH: honored'[5] Isaiah 58:13. .”
תָּאנָא בְּהַאי יוֹמָא כָּל נִשְׁמָתְהוֹן דְּצַדִּיקַיָּיא מִתְעַדְּנִין בְּתַפְנוּקֵי עַתִּיקָא קַדִּישָׁא סְתִימָא דְּכָל סְתִימִין, וְרוּחָא חֲדָא מֵעִנּוּגָא דָּא מִתְפַּשְׁטָא בְּכֻלְּהוּ עָלְמִין וְסַלְּקָא וְנַחְתָּא וּמִתְפַּשְּׁטָא לְכֻלְּהוּ בְּנֵי קַדִּישֵׁי לְכֻלְּהוּ נְטוּרֵי אוֹרַיְיתָא וְנַיְיחִין בְּנַיְיחָא שְׁלִים וּמִתְנְשֵׁי מִכֻּלְּהוּ כָּל רוּגְזִין כָּל דִּינִין כָּל פּוּלְחָנִין קָשִׁין הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב “בְּיוֹם הָנִיחַ יְהוָה לְךָ מֵעָצְבְּךָ וּמֵרָגְזֶךָ וּמִן־הָעֲבֹדָה הַקָּשָׁה” (ישעיה יד:ג חלק). בְּגִינֵי כַּךְ שָׁקִיל שַׁבְּתָא לָקֳבֵיל אוֹרַיְיתָא, וְכָל דְּנָטִיר שַׁבָּת כְּאִילּוּ נָטִיר אוֹרַיְיתָא כֻלָּה, וּכְתִיב “אַשְׁרֵי אֱנוֹשׁ יַעֲשֶׂה־זֹּאת וּבֶן־אָדָם יַחֲזִיק בָּהּ שֹׁמֵר שַׁבָּת מֵחַלְּלוֹ וְשֹׁמֵר יָדוֹ מֵעֲשׂוֹת כָּל־רָע” (ישעיה נו:ב) — אִשְׁתְּמַע דְּמַאן דְּנָטִיר שַׁבָּת כְּמַאן דְּנָטִיר אוֹרַיְיתָא כֻלָּה.
“It has been taught: On this day all souls of the righteous revel in the delights of the Holy Ancient One, concealed of all concealed. A spirit of this bliss spreads through all worlds, ascending and descending, extending to all the holy children, to all guardians of Torah, and they rest in perfect tranquility, each of them forgetting all agitation, judgments, and toil, as is written: ‘On the day that YHVH gives you rest from your distress and your agitation, and from the hard labor'[6] Isaiah 14:3 part. . Therefore Shabbat is equivalent to Torah, and whoever observes the Shabbat is considered to have observed the entire Torah. It is written: ‘Happy is the human who does this, and the son of man who grasps it: keeping the Shabbat without profaning it and keeping his hand from doing any evil'[7] Isaiah 56:2. —implying that one who keeps the Shabbat is like one who keeps the entire Torah.”
בָּרוּךְ יְיָ לְעוֹלָם אָמֵן וְאָמֵן׃
Blessed is YHVH in the Cosmos, Amen v’Amen.
