Gebet für den Landesfürsten.^[1] Dieses, wie das Seelengebet an Festtagen, ist der Agende meines theueren seligen Gatten entnommen.	Prayer for the Sovereign.^[2] This, like the prayer for the soul on festival days, is taken from the liturgy of my dear blessed husband.

Allmächtiger Gott und Herr des Weltalls! Von dir kommt alle Macht und alle Größe, du setzest Könige und Regenten auf ihren Thron, umgibst sie mit einem Strahl deiner Majestät, und verleihest ihnen Ansehen und Gewalt, daß sie Recht und Gerechtigkeit auf Erden handhaben, daß sie werden ein Schutz aller Gedrückten und Bedrängten, eine Zuflucht aller Schwachen und Hilfsbedürftigen, und daß der Völker Heil und Wohl unter ihrem Scepter erblühe. — Zu dir beten wir aus des Herzens Tiefe und Fülle um Segen und Heil für unsern erhabenen, allgeliebten Landesfürsten und Vater, den Kaiser Franz Joseph den Ersten. From you comes all power and all greatness; you place kings and rulers on their thrones, surround them with a radiance of your majesty, and bestow upon them prestige and authority, that they may administer justice and righteousness on earth, that they may become a shelter of all the oppressed and afflicted, a refuge of all the weak and needy, and that the salvation and welfare of the nations may flourish under their scepter. — To you we pray from the depth and fullness of our hearts for blessing and salvation for our exalted, all-loving sovereign and father, Emperor Francis Joseph the First.^[3] Franz Joseph Ⅰ, (18 August 1830 – 21 November 1916) was Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, and the other states of the Austro-Hungarian Empire from 2 December 1848 until his death.

Bless the noble mother of our country, our exalted Empress Elisabeth.^[4] Elisabeth (born Duchess Elisabeth in Bavaria; 24 December 1837 – 10 September 1898) was Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary by marriage to Emperor Franz Joseph I. She was born into the royal Bavarian House of Wittelsbach.

“Gebet für den Landesfürsten” by Abraham Neuda was first published in the collection of teḥinot otherwise authored by his wife, Fanny Schmiedl Neuda, Stunden der Andacht. ein Gebet⸗ und Erbauungs-buch für Israels Frauen und Jungfrauen (1855), pp. 22-23. In the 1864 Judeo-German edition, it is found on pp. 28-29.
