![]() Ben-Tsiyon AlfesBen-Tsiyon (also Ben-Zion) Alfes (Hebrew: בן-ציון אלפס) (1851-1941) was a rabbi, author, prolific author of Yiddish religious literature, commentator and compiler of prayers in vernacular Yiddish. His most well-known book is Maaseh Alfes (Tales of Alfes). The last work he saw published, written at age 90, was an autobiography titled "The Life Story of the Maase Alfes."
