Nochum Dovid Herman

Rabbi Nachum David Herman (נחום דוד הרמן) (1908-1984) served Congregation Tifereth Israel (a/k/a Park Slope Jewish Center, Brooklyn, New York) and, in 1950, was the first Orthodox rabbi to offer a prayer before Congress since Rabbi Harry Mendes in 1888. We know very little else about him save that he was the son of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Herman and studied at Mir Yeshivah in Poland; if you know more, please contact us.
