בראשון בשבת, עשרים וארבעה בסיוון תשע”ג בעיר פילדלפיה במדינת פנסילבניה שבארצות הברית ,ביילא פייגא בת ישראל ופריידל אמרה לנעמי יהודית בת אברהם ושושנה, “אני נודרת לפני יי והעדים האלה להיות לך בת זוג ושותפה: לאהוב אותך בכוונה, לחלוק את חיי איתך, להקפיד על הצרכים שלך, אם ירצה יי לגדל ילדים איתך, בחלקנו של הנצח, לבנות בית נאמן בישראל, ועל תנאי שאת מרשה לי לקיים הדברים האלה.”
On Sunday, the second of June in the year two thousand and thirteen,[1] ”On the first day of the week, the 24th of Sivan, 5773.”   in the city of Philadelphia, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the United States of America, Beverly Fay daughter of William and Diana said to Naomi Yehudit daughter of Abraham and Shoshana, “I vow before God and these witnesses to be your spouse and partner: to love you on purpose, to share my life with yours, to care for your needs, and to raise any future children together with you for our slice of eternity, in order to create a faithful household of Israel, and on the condition that you allow me to uphold these elements.”
ונעמי יהודית אמרה לביילא פייגא, “בשימחה אני מרשה לך את הדברים האלה. אנא קבלי את הטבעת הזו כסימן נדרך.” וביילא פייגא מקבלת את הטבעת מנעמי יהודית.
And Naomi Yehudit replied to Beverly Fay, “I joyfully allow you to uphold these elements. Please accept this ring as a symbol of your vow.” And Beverly Fay accepted the ring from Naomi Yehudit.
אז נעמי יהודית בת אברהם ושושנה אמרה לביילא פייגא בת ישראל ופריידל, ”אני נודרת לפני יי והעדים האלה להיות לך בת זוג ושותפה: לאהוב אותך בכוונה, לחלוק את חיי איתך, להקפיד על הצרכים שלך, אם ירצה יי לגדל ילדים איתך, בחלקנו של הנצח, לבנות בית נאמן בישראל, ועל תנאי שאת מרשה לי לקיים הדברים האלה.”
Then Naomi Yehudit, daughter of Abraham and Shoshana, said to Beverly Fay, daughter of William and Diana, “I vow before God and these witnesses to be your spouse and partner: to love you on purpose, to share my life with yours, to care for your needs, and to raise any future children together with you for our slice of eternity, in order to create a faithful household of Israel, and on the condition that you allow me to uphold these elements.”
וביילא פייגא אמרה לנעמי יהודית, “בשמחה אני מרשה לך את הדברים האלה. אנא קבלי את הטבעת הזו כסימן נדרך.” ונעמי יהודית מקבלת את הטבעת מביילא פייגא.
And Beverly Fay replied to Naomi Yehudit, “I joyfully allow you to uphold these elements. Please accept this ring as a symbol of your vow.” And Naomi Yehudit accepted the ring from Beverly Fay.
והן התחתנו בנדרים האלה
And they were married by virtue of these vows.
אם יתעוררו קשיים בנישואיהן, הן תעבודנה יחד בעזרתו של יועץ או מדריך רוחני על מנת לפתור את המחלוקות ביניהן למשך שישה חודשים לפחות במידה שאין ילדים, ולמשך שנים -עשר חודשים במידה וישנם ילדים. אם לאחר זמן הייעוץ, הן עדיין לא תוכלנה להתיר אחת לשנייה לקיים את כל הדברי נידרה, הרי שכל אחת תוכל לבטל את הרשתה. כל אחת תופיע בפני בית דין רבני של שלושה מלומדים כדי לבטל את נדרה.
If it should arise that their marriage experiences turbulence, they will work together with the help of a therapist or spiritual counselor to resolve their differences for a minimum of 6 months if there are no children in the picture and 12 months if there are children. And if after that time either one is unable to allow the other to uphold the elements of her vow, she will withdraw her consent. Each will then appear before a rabbinic court of 3 scholars to nullify her vow.
כאשר אחת מהנשים הללו נפטרת, בתקווה לאחר שנים רבות של שמחה ואהבה, נדרה של האחרת יתמלא, מכיוון שהייתה בת זוג ושותפה למנוחה. אז היא תהיה אלמנה וחופשייה להינשא לכל אדם שתבחר.
When, after what will hopefully be many many years of joy and love, one of these women dies, the other’s vow will be fulfilled and no longer ongoing, as she will have been a spouse and partner to the deceased. She will then be widowed, and free to remarry should she so choose.
בנוגע לכל זה, אנו חותמות ביום האמור, במקום הנ”ל, הכל שריר ובריר ואמת ויציב ונכון וקיים.
And regarding all of this, we sign on the aforementioned day, in the aforementioned place, and all of this is valid, clear, true, immutable, correct, and binding.
