נְאֻֽם־פֶּ֣שַׁע לָ֭רָשָׁע בְּקֶ֣רֶב לִבִּ֑י אֵֽין־פַּ֥חַד אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים לְנֶ֣גֶד עֵינָֽיו׃	Transgression speaks to the wicked, methinks— There is no fear of Elohim before their eyes.
כִּֽי־הֶחֱלִ֣יק אֵלָ֣יו בְּעֵינָ֑יו לִמְצֹ֖א עֲוֺנ֣וֹ לִשְׂנֹֽא׃	For it flatters them in their eyes, Until their iniquity is found, and they be hated.
דִּבְרֵי־פִ֭יו אָ֣וֶן וּמִרְמָ֑ה חָדַ֖ל לְהַשְׂכִּ֣יל לְהֵיטִֽיב׃	The words of their mouth are iniquity and deceit; They have put off to be wise, to do good.
אָ֤וֶן ׀ יַחְשֹׁ֗ב עַֽל־מִשְׁכָּ֫ב֥וֹ יִ֭תְיַצֵּב עַל־דֶּ֣רֶךְ לֹא־ט֑וֹב רָ֝֗ע לֹ֣א יִמְאָֽס׃	They devise iniquity upon their bed; They set themselves in a way that is not good; They abhor not evil.
יְ֭הוָה בְּהַשָּׁמַ֣יִם חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ אֱ֝מֽוּנָתְךָ֗ עַד־שְׁחָקִֽים׃	Your lovingkindness, YHVH, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches unto the skies.
צִדְקָֽתְךָ֨ ׀ כְּֽהַרְרֵי־אֵ֗ל מִ֭שְׁפָּטֶךָ תְּה֣וֹם רַבָּ֑ה אָ֤דָֽם־וּבְהֵמָ֖ה תוֹשִׁ֣יעַ יְהוָֽה׃	Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains; Your judgments are like the great deep; Adam and behemah you preserve, YHVH.
מַה־יָּקָ֥ר חַסְדְּךָ֗ אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים וּבְנֵ֥י אָדָ֑ם בְּצֵ֥ל כְּ֝נָפֶ֗יךָ יֶחֱסָיֽוּן׃	How precious is your lovingkindness, Elohim! And the children of Adam take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
יִ֭רְוְיֻן מִדֶּ֣שֶׁן בֵּיתֶ֑ךָ וְנַ֖חַל עֲדָנֶ֣יךָ תַשְׁקֵֽם׃	They are abundantly satisfied with the fatness of your house; And you make them drink of the river of your pleasures.
כִּֽי־עִ֭מְּךָ מְק֣וֹר חַיִּ֑ים בְּ֝אוֹרְךָ֗ נִרְאֶה־אֽוֹר׃	For with you is the fountain of life; In your light do we see light.
מְשֹׁ֣ךְ חַ֭סְדְּךָ לְיֹדְעֶ֑יךָ וְ֝צִדְקָֽתְךָ֗ לְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃	O continue your lovingkindness unto them that know you; And your righteousness to the upright in heart.
אַל־תְּ֭בוֹאֵנִי רֶ֣גֶל גַּאֲוָ֑ה וְיַד־רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים אַל־תְּנִדֵֽנִי׃	Let not the foot of pride overtake me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.
שָׁ֣ם נָ֭פְלוּ פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן דֹּ֝ח֗וּ וְלֹא־יָ֥כְלוּ קֽוּם׃	There are the workers of iniquity fallen; They are thrust down, and are not able to rise.

David ben Yishai (traditional attribution)

David ben Yishai was the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel and Judah, reigning ca. 1010–970 BCE. While almost half of the Psalms are headed "l'David" and tradition identifies several with specific events in David’s life (e.g., Psalms № 3, 7, 18, 34, 51, 52, 54, 56, 57, 59, 60, 63 and 142), most scholars consider these headings to be late additions and that no psalm can be attributed to David with certainty. 1 Samuel 16:15-18 describes David as a skillful harp (lyre) player and "the sweet psalmist of Israel."

Cupels, i.e. porous crucibles made e.g. of bone ash or magnesite, used in the process of cupellation for the acquisition and purification of noble metals, as well as the determination of the composition of these ores. Dissolved at high temperature in molten lead, the ore is reduced by charcoal, which burns in oxygen penetrating through the porous walls of cupel. At the end of the process, the cooled cupel is broken, and at its bottom is a layer of precious metal with a density greater than lead.
