May the Cause answer you on a day of trouble,
may the name of the God of Jacob secure you.
May God send Your help from the Holy,
and from Zion sustain you.
May God remember all your minḥah offerings,
and approve your whole-offerings – Selah.
May God give you your heart’s desire,
and fulfill all your plans.
Let us shout for joy in your victory,
bannered in the name of our God;
may the Cause fulfill all your requests.
Now I know
that the Cause will save the anointed,
will answer him from the heavens of the Holy with might,
dexterous victory.
They call on chariots, they call on horses,
but we call on the name of the Cause our God.
They collapse and fall,
and we rise and gain strength.
O Cause, save!
May the Sovereign answer us on the day we call.

“The Cause” is used to translate the Divine Name YHVH, based on the philosophical idea of God as the Prime Mover and on the interpretation of the Name as a causative form of the copula – “causes to be.”
