 Parashat BereshitThis is an archive of Torah and Haftarah readings for Parashat Bereshit (Genesis 1:1-6:8), the eponymous first parashah in Sefer Bereshit according to the annual Torah reading cycle. The haftarah reading for Parashat Bereshit is Isaiah 42:5-43:10. Parashat Bereshit is preceded by parashat v’Zōt haBrakhah (Deuteronomy 33:1-34:12). Parashat Noaḥ (Genesis 6:9-11:32) follows it. This parashah commences the annual cycle of Torah readings, an event celebrated on Simḥat Torah.
