בְּכֵן נָרוּץ לִקְרָאתֵךְ, בּֽוֹאִי כַלָּה נְסוּכָה, לְבוּשׁ בִּגְדֵי חֲמוּדוֹת, לְהַדְלִיק נֵר בִּבְרָכָה, וַתֵּֽכֶל כָּל הָעֲבוֹדוֹת, לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ מְלָאכָה. לְהִתְעַנֵּג בְּתַעֲנוּגִים בַּרְבּוּרִים וּשְׂלָו וְדָגִים. |
How friendly your rest is, O Queen Shabbat
So we run to meet you, “Come in anointed Queen” Wearing lovely clothes, lighting candles with a blessing, All work ceases, “Thou shalt not do any labor” To enjoy delights, swans, quail, and fish |

מִבְּעוֹד יוֹם מוּכָנִים, תַּרְנְגוֹלִים מְפֻטָּמִים, וְלַעֲרֹךְ כַּמָּה מִינִים, שְׁתוֹת יֵינוֹת מְבֻשָּׂמִים, וְתַפְנוּקֵי מַעֲדַנִּים, בְּכָל שָׁלֹשׁ פְּעָמִים. |

נַחֲלַת יַעֲקֹב יִירָשׁ, בְּלִי מְצָרִים נַחֲלָה,
וִיכַבְּדֽוּהוּ עָשִׁיר וָרָשׁ, וְתִזְכּוּ לִגְאֻלָּה, יוֹם שַׁבָּת אִם תִּשְׁמֹֽרוּ, וִהְיִֽיתֶם לִי סְגֻלָּה, שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים תַּעֲבֹֽדוּ, וּבַשְּׁבִיעִי נָגִֽילָה. |
You will inherit the legacy of Yaaqov, a boundless legacy at that
