Dear God —
Once again,
faced by the specter of war
Tanks tearing ground,
planes screaming through the sky
Weapons stealing and shattering lives,
We pray:
May leaders have the wisdom
to end the carnage
And people have the resilience
to endure.
Let us be granted
a moment of Shalom, of peace,
Of wholeness, of restoration.
Asé Imanu Ḥesed
Have compassion upon us;
Create compassion among us.
Restore our hearts
and move us to help those
Facing the horrors of conflict.
Help human hearts to soften
and turn our souls to You.
Amen.
