I see skhakh of green, red berries[1] for “berries” substitute flowers, roses, apples, ornaments, tchotchkes, etc. as appropriate too,
they provide shelter for me and you. In the sukkah at least, it’s a wonderful world. |

I see skies of blue, and clouds of white,
the bright blessed day, the dark sacred night, and I think to myself, what a wonderful world. |

The colors of the rainbow, on the sukkah walls and also on the faces of people big and small. I see friends in the corner sayin’, “How do you do?” They’re really sayin’ “I love you.” |

When we sit in the sukkah, we know that we’re exposed,
but we’re safe and protected, as every Jew knows. In the sukkah at least, it’s a wonderful world, and I think to myself, what a wonderful world. |

with clouds for the roof, and a canopy of stars. When everybody knows this, what a wonderful world. When the green earth is our sukkah, what a wonderful world. |
