This prayer for the well-being of the Kaiser (Emperor) Nikolai II and his family appears in the siddur Shir Ushvaḥah (1889), a copy of which was used by my great-aunt Bessie Grinberg, z”l (1896-1983), originally of Moinesti in Bacau Province, Moldavia, Romania. (Much gratitude to my cousin, Linda Propas Ross for preserving this siddur.) –Aharon Varady
