[Recite] Psalms 3,
Psalms 91
Master of the universe
You fashioned the earth with wisdom
and the events of the world are in your hands.
We stand in prayer before you
and beg from the depths of our hearts.
Please have mercy on our sons, the sons of this kingdom,
who have been assembled as an army
to fight for their country,
the land of their possession and their homeland,
so that they will not be crushed
by the trap that their enemies will set for them.
Please, our Father,
look and observe them with the light of your face
and protect them and all the inhabitants of this kingdom
from every harm and disease,
and let no evil, famine,
hordes of men, people of wickedness,
nor any calamity and harm rule over them.
Is our Lord not called a man of war?
Be with the men of our battles
and with their commanders, the commanders of their army.
Fortify them in strength and might
and they will vanquish their enemies,
and let no laxity or weakness fill their bones.
For are you not the one who gives strength and power
to the helpless from their very birth.
Please, our God and the God of our fathers,
turn your face upon our brothers, the Children of Israel,
and among them the residents and children of our congregation
who are fighting among their brothers
on the fields of battle.
Please, Merciful and Gracious One,
spare and have mercy on them
and redeem them from all their trouble and sorrow.
Answer us, God,
answer and save our brothers from all their persecutions,
are they not your people and your possession.
My voice, to You, oh Lord, I cry.
My voice, to You, oh Lord, I beseech you.
Swiftly deliver peace to the people of our kingdom
and among them our brothers the children of Israel
and in particular the residents and offspring of our congregation,
in health of soul
and in health of flesh,
for their God.
For them our souls are weak
because they are our bones and our flesh.
Help us, our Lord of deliverance.
