Jonathan A. Panitz Jonathan A. PanitzJonathan Avram Panitz is a Conservative Jewish rabbi, patient chaplain, and retired Commander Chaplain for the U.S. Navy. He received his ordination from Leo Baeck College in 1975 after which he served congregations in Salisbury, Maryland and Fall River, Massachusetts. In 1980, he became a chaplain for the U.S. Navy. From 1995-1998, he served as the Jewish chaplain for the U.S. Naval Academy.
