Jospeh Ziegler (translation) ![]() Jospeh Ziegler (translation)Joseph Georg Ziegler (1902-1988) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and biblical scholar. He was rector of the University of Würzburg (1961-1962). Ziegler was a Corresponding Member of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities and, from 1959, a Full Member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. He published numerous works, his major work being the Göttingen Septuagint.
