Solomon Rubinstein  Solomon RubinsteinRabbi Solomon Rubinstein (also: Salomon, 1892-1967), from Mako, Hungary, was a rabbi and survivor of Terezin. Resettled through the intervention of the 1948 Displaced Persons Act, he arrived in the United States in 1949, became a grocery store proprietor, and in 1952 published a small anthology of teḥinot in Yiddish with an English translation: Rachel. He became a naturalized citizen in 1955, after moving from East Broadway in Manhattan to South Williamsburg in Brooklyn. If you know more about Rabbi Rubinstein's life and career, please contact us.
