🌌 May the Fourth

May the Fourth (a/k/a “Star Wars Day”) is an informal civic day observed annually on 4 May to celebrate the Force, a ubiquitous if nebulous manifestation of cosmic good central to Jedi thought in the legendarium of George Lucas. The date originated from the pun “May the Fourth be with you,” derived from the Jedi salutation/blessing: “May the Force be with you.” Observance of the day spread quickly through media and grassroots celebrations since the first Star Wars film was shown in 1977.

“Be grateful to Hashem for goodness-sake, for in the Cosmos, their kindness is” — הוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ׃
