“Priere des Membres du Sanhédrin” was a prayer composed for convening the Grand Sanhedrin established under the court of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1807. While the prayer is unsigned, we think it was likely written or at the very least, drafted, by Joseph David Sinzheim, whose authorship of prayers for Napoleon and erudite speech had already recommended him to his position as chair of the Grand Sanhedrin in 1806.
