אָנָּא. אֵל שַׁדַּי רַחוּם אָב לַכֹּל סוֹמֵךְ נוֹפְלִים וְסוֹעֵד נֶחֱשָׁלִים אֵלֶיךָ נִשָׂא לְבָבֵינוּ בִּתְפִלָה וּבְהוֹדָיָה אֲשֶׁר בְּרַב טוּבְךָ וְחַסְדְּךָ עֵינֶךָ צוֹפִיהָ עַל בָּנִים אוּמְלָלִים חַסֵרֵי יֶשַׁע וּמַחְסֶה הוֹרִים׃ אָנָּא אַב הָרַחֲמִים. הַעֲבֵר רוּחַ עִוְעִים וְאַכְזָרִיוּת מְלִבּוֹת בְּנֵי אָדָם אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִמְעֲלוּ עוֹד מַעַל בְּנַעַר וְעוּל יָמִים׃	Almighty and all-merciful God, Who art the Father of all and Who upholdest the weak and the helpless, to Thee we lift up our hearts in thanksgiving for Thy gracious and all-sustaining Providence in watching over the well-being of those of Thy children who are left without parental care and protection. We pray Thee, Father of Mercy, remove from the hearts of men the spirit of cruelty and indifference that causes them to neglect hapless young beings.
אָבִינוּ שֶׁבַּשָּׂמָיִם. בָּאנוּ לְפָנֶיךָ בְּיוֹם שַׁבַּת קֹדֶשׁ זֶה בְּתּוֹדָה וּבִתְהִלָה עַל אֲשֶׁר נָטַעְתָּ רוּחַ רַחֲמִים חֶמְלָה וַחֲנִינָה בְּלִבּוֹת אֲנָשִׁים וְנָשִׂים הַמַּאֲצִילִים מֵאַהֲבָתָם וְחֶמְלָתָם עַל נַעַר וְנַעֲרָה יֶלֶד וְיַלְדָה הַנְּתוּנִים בִּמְצוּקָה׃ הֱיֵה־נָה עִם אַנְשֵׁי הַחֶבְרָה לִמְנִיעַת אַכְזָרִיוּת לִילָדִים. הַצְלַח אוֹתָם בְּמַעֲשֵׂה הַחֶסֶד דְּבַר יוֹם בְּיוֹמוֹ כַּאֲשֶׁר הָיִיתָ עִם רִאשׁוֹנֵי־הַמְּיַסְּדִים׃ חָזֵּק־נָא אֶת מַאֲמַצֵּיהֶם הַדְרֵךְ אוֹתָם בַּעֲצָתְךָ הַטּוֹבָה כּוֹנֵן צְעָדֵיהֶם וְהוֹלִיכֵם אֶל כָּל מָקוֹם בּוֹ תִהְיֶה פְעוּלָתָם לְהוֹעִיל וְלִבְרָכָה׃ הָרֵק בִּרְכָתְךָ עַל עֲבָדֶיךָ אֵלֶּה שׁוֹמְרֵי־אֱמֻנִים הָעוֹסְקִים בַּעֲבוֹדַת הַחֶסֶד בֶּאֱמֶת וּבְתָמִים׃	O [Father in Heaven], on this Sabbath we humbly offer our gratitude to Thee for the men and women who, moved by compassion, kindness and sympathy, bring pity and love and mercy to all young people in distress. Be with them in their daily acts of benevolence as Thou hast been with their predecessors, the founders of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Strengthen them in their endeavours, give them good counsel, direct their footsteps, guide them to every place where their labours are needed. Cause Thy blessings to rest upon these selfless guardians who, with heart, devotion and zeal, carry on the beneficent work.
שְׁמַר־נָא צֵאתָם וּבוֹאָם מֵעַתָּה וְעַד עוֹלָם. אָמֵן׃	O Lord, preserve their going out and their coming in,^[1] Cf. Ezekiel 46:10 from this time forth and forevermore. Amen.
