עֵת בָּאָה שַׁבָּת אֶל בֵּיתֵנוּ, עֵת עוֹרְכִים אָנוּ אֶת הַשֻּׁלְחָן, נַעֲלֶה הַתְּפִלָּה מִלִּבֵּנוּ, כִּתְרוּמַת הַבָּצֵק הַמּוּכָן.	As Shabbat comes into our home As we set the festive table May a prayer rise from our hearts – The gift of the ready dough.
שֶׁנֵּדַע לְהַפְרִישׁ מִזְּמַנֵּנוּ, מִן הַיְּכֹלֶת וּמִן הַנְּכָסִים, שֶׁנֵּדַע לְפָרֵשׁ מִלּוֹתֵינוּ, גְּלוּיִים וְלֹא מְכֻסִּים.	Help us find a way to set aside A little of our time, our skills, and our means, May we learn to offer our own words – Honest and uncovered.
שֶׁמֶּחֱווֹת הַזּוּלַת יִתְפָּרְשׁוּ כָּאן לְכַף זְכוּת וּבְעַיִן טוֹבָה, וְיִפְרֹשׁ מֵעָלֵינוּ כָּל צַעַר, כָּל מַכְאוֹב וְכָל דְּאָבָה.	Let us interpret the gestures of others Positively and generously May all sorry, pain, and worry Be drawn away from us.
שֶׁנִּפְרֹשׁ מִיָּמִים שֶׁחָלְפוּ כְּבָר, נַשְׁאִירֵם מֵאָחוֹר בְּחִיּוּךְ, וְנִפְרֹשׂ בְּשִׂמְחָה עַל בֵּיתֵנוּ, יוֹם שַׁבָּת מְנַחֵם וּבָרוּךְ.	Let us set aside the days that have gone Leaving them behind with a smile May we spread joyfully over our home A comforting and blessed Shabbat day
אֵת סֻכַּת שְׁלוֹמֶךָ פְּרֹשׂ עָלֵינוּ, רַחֲמִים וְחַיִּים וְשָׁלוֹם, לְהַנִּיחַ בְּרָכָה אֶל בֵּיתֵנוּ, לְפָרֵשׁ מִלִּבֵּנוּ חֲלוֹם.	Set the Sukkah of Shalom over us Mercy, life, and peace May a blessing may be placed on our home – A dream drawn from our hearts.

  Bio: Shaul Vardi is a freelance translator and editor living in Jerusalem and active in the Reform community Kol HaNeshama (KKH). Among other liturgical projects, Shaul devised the transliteration methods used in KKH’s bilingual Siddur and in the bilingual accompaniment to the new Israeli Reform Siddur Tefilat Ha-Adam. He also composed the first Hebrew-language “mi she-berakh” for LGBTQI+ Pride Shabbat.

  Name: Oded Mazor
  Bio: Rabbi Oded Mazor, born and raised in Israel, received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Jewish Philosophy in the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and rabbinic ordination from the Israeli program of HUC-JIR. Oded co-edited the Israeli Reform Three Regalim (Pilgrim Holy Days) prayer book, HaSimcha Sh'Balev, and is part of the editorial committee of Tfilat HaAdam. After nearly a decade as rabbi and educator in the Leo Baeck Education Center, Haifa, and living in the renewed Kibbutz Ḥannaton, Oded and the family are back in Jerusalem, where he serves as the rabbi of Ḳehilat Ḳol HaNeshama.
