Excerpt: The genre of B'raḥ Dodi piyyutim, a variety of geulah piyyut oriented around many Shir haShirim citations, is exclusively associated with Pesaḥ in Ashkenazi practice. Maḥzorim for Pesaḥ include B'raḥ Dodi piyyutim for the first two days and Shabbat Ḥol ha-Moed of Pesaḥ and nowhere else. So to reflect the themes of Pesaḥ Sheni, a B'raḥ Dodi piyyut is a great fit! . . .

This is part five of a five-part series of yotsrot for Pesaḥ Sheni (which the author literally just finished the night of).

Our Redeemer,
the Cause of Multitudes Their name;
Holy One of Israel.
Hurry, Beloved! Asleep was I but my heart was awake.
O Ruddy and Clear, You turned, You were gone! I called, “our House is burning!”
Those surrounding cut off the ephod from upon me to cause me sorrow.
My soul left me! Strengthen and encourage me please, and do not destroy!
Hurry, Beloved! I went down to the nut-garden, my Beloved to see the gardens;
to Your spice-beds, You will again gather lilies.
And see, daughters, and go forth to the House of the Threshers,
the House of Glory; our furniture of cedar upon the pomegranate-orchard.
Hurry, Beloved! For lovesick is my soul in love of the pavilions of Your tents.
Return Israel Your friend to her home, Zion, to fulfill Your commandments.
And in the Holy House we will sacrifice our grain-offerings, pure as written in Your Torah.
For the parents’ sake You will save the children,
and bring redemption to their children.
Blessed are You, Cause, who redeemed Israel.
