Excerpt: This Prayer for Peace by Samuel Avital was composed in January 1984 for a gathering of spiritual teachers from all over the world at Mt. Sinai in March 1984. A month later, the State of Israel would return the Sinai to Egyptian sovereignty. While that event was not documented in any media, the prayer was first published in Four Worlds Journal vol. 2 no. 4, (January 1985), pp. 16-17. Of the event itself, Samuel Avital adds, "I performed there some of my mime performances like Jacob & Angel, Black & White and others." The prayer for peace is included in Samuel Avital's Passover Haggadah (2021). . . .

We beseech Thee,
with Thy Great Name’s help,
Open our hearts,
Ancient One, Supreme One,
guide our world in the path of PEACE.
We beseech Thee,
Our God One and Unique,
Open our eyes,
Let us hear Thy silent voice,
strengthen us in the Covenant of PEACE.
We beseech Thee,
Creator of all,
With Thy Will illumine our ways,
For the sake of the work of Thy Hand,
In our hearts make PEACE.
We beseech Thee,
King of the Cosmos,
With heart’s intention, listen to our outcry,
For the sake of Thy Sacred Word,
Bless our world with PEACE.
We beseech Thee,
our Creator, our Maker,
The dweller in the Crown of our Head,
Emanate to us Thy good Spirit,
With the Joy of PEACE.
Blessed be Our God, who utters the Word
and the world becomes manifest in our being.
Our mouth gives thanks,
our tongue speaks praise,
And our knees bow with PEACE.
Hear our voice,
Receive our thanks
In the Hour of Thy Will,
Blessed be the One, who examines the hearts,
Who hears the prayer of PEACE.
