This is an archive of prayers composed for, or relevant to, the meaning, commemoration, or celebration of civic days intended to be observed internationally in civil calendar around the world. Some of these civic days were established as a result of World Wars, others by the United Nations (itself a product of the second World War), and still others by far-reaching political and social movements. (New Year’s Day is exceptional in this list as having its roots in classical Antiquity.)
