GriffitGeorge Griffith was an English Protestant whose missionary press in Izmir published Ladino translations of the Scriptures in the mid-19th century Ottoman Empire. Established in 1838 to serve the Anglican mission, Estampado por Ǧ. Griffit was the only press in Izmir with a Sepharadi cursive ("Rashi") typeface available for publishing in Ladino.
