The lust of the human heart is evil from its youth, and it is this lust that beguiles the weak heart, darkens the mind, and incites to sin. Certainly, even the one who rests here has never sinned with the intention of rebelling against the holy will of God. The tear of repentance which they ever shed, receive as a sin offering, you of whom it is said, “He brings down to the grave, and brings up again.” (1 Samuel 2:6)
