This is the piyyut, Adir Bimlukhah (also known by its incipit, Ki Lo Na’eh), in its Latin translation by Johann Stephan Rittangel as found in his translation of the Pesaḥ seder haggadah, Liber Rituum Paschalium (1644). The piyyut, first appearing in the 13th century, and, according to Macy Nulman in his Encyclopedia of Jewish Prayer (1992) is based on the midrash in Bereshit Rabbah 6:2 where Psalms 74:16 is brought for interpreting Genesis 1:16 (on the creation of “the two great luminaries”). While the piyyut may not have been originally written for the Passover seder, this midrash on the appropriateness of praising Hashem at night (as on the Seder) for the miracles made at night (as in Mitsrayim) makes the piyyut feel perfectly apposite.
