Der erste Abschnitt des Aleinu-Gebets entstand um das 3. Jhd, der zweite kam etliche Jahrhunderte später dazu. Erst im 13. Jhd. ist es zum täglichen Schlussgebet im G’tesdienst geworden.	The first section of the Aleinu prayer was written around the 3rd century CE, with the second section added several centuries later. It was not until the 13th century that it became the daily closing prayer in religious services.
Aleinu trennt im Originaltext klar das Volk Israel und seinen G’ von all den anderen Völkern und G’theiten. In Jesaia wird diese Aussage noch zugespitzter formuliert: “Versammelt euch und kommt, tretet zusammen heran, Menschen aus fremden Völkern (Gojim), die ihr entkommen seid: Sie erkennen nichts, die sich abschleppen mit den Holzklötzen ihrer Götzen und zu einer Gottheit (El) beten, die nicht rettet” (Jes. 45:20).	In the original text, Aleinu clearly separates the people of Israel and their God from all other peoples and deities. In Isaiah, this statement is formulated even more pointedly: “Gather yourselves together and come, draw near, you people from foreign nations (goyim) who have escaped: They know nothing, dragging themselves along their idols and praying to a deity (el) that does not save” (Isaiah 45:20).
Erstrebenswerter ist meiner Meinung nach das Schärfen des Bewusstseins für die große Auswahl an jüdischen Wegen, die allerdings nicht im Verzerren oder Verunglimpfen des vermeintlich Fremdem oder befremdlich Anderen münden sollten.	In my opinion, it is more desirable to raise awareness of the wide range of Jewish paths, which, however, should not lead to the distortion or denigration of the supposedly foreign or alien Other.
