וְהָרוֹפֵא לִשְׁבוּרֵי לֵב (תהלים קמז:ג חלק) יְקַיֵּם בָּנוּ בְּחֹדֶשׁ אִיָּר אֶת הַכָּתוּב ”כִּי אֲנִי יְיָ רֹפְאֶךָ,“ (שמות טו:כו חלק) אָמֵן.	Heal their broken hearts,^[13] Psalms 147:3 partial and fulfill for us this month of Iyar what is written, “for I, YHVH, are your healer.”^[14] Exodus 15:26, note the acrostic “אייר” in the Hebrew when employing the double yud circumlocution for the tetragrammaton. This prayer was written in response to the tragic event of a deadly flash flood occurring in southern Israel in April 2018 which killed ten people.

Flash floods are dangerous in every season, but are rare in the dry season, after most rain and snow are thought to have fallen.
