Blessed are you,
YHVH our elo’ah,
cosmic majesty,
who nourishes the entire cosmos
with goodness,
with grace,
with mercy,
and with compassion.
Comfort
my mourners from grief and moaning,
On the holy Shabbat day, for on it danger rests,
Grow it and teach my multitude to groan no more,
Their mutterings were heard to El, who will no more abandon them.
“Give comfort”
You announced, our provider, to your prophets
And thus once more your seers will be heard
Merit us to be sated from the breast of your consolation
Grace us to hear “Comfort” from your servants.
As it is written:
“Comfort, comfort, my people,
says your elo’ah(Isaiah 40:1)
And it is said,
“You open your Hand
and satiate all Life’s desire” (Psalm 145:16)
Blessed are you, YHVH,
who nourishes everything.
We thank you, YHVH our elo’ah,
for what You endowed our ancestors,
a beautiful, good, and wide land,
covenant, Torah,
life, and nourishment.
My people
The preaching of their whispers to You they preach
Our Only One, You will accelerate their gardens that they branch out,
Their bounds and their ropes will flee in ruin
Enhearten them like the finest of the flour they sift.
Says
My Majesty, to let bloom the house of My dryness,
Grant in My land gifts of My endowment,
The secrets of its Torah and the covenant of My multitude’s ancestor
Steppe and desert to clear, as the garden of YHVH.
As it is written:
“A voice calls out, ‘In the desert push a path of YHVH;
straighten in the steppe a highway for our elo’ah!” (Isaiah 40:3)
And it is said,
“And you shall eat and be satiated and bless YHVH your elo’ah
for the good land that Hashem has given to you” (Deuteronomy 8:10)
Blessed are you, YHVH,
for the land and for the nourishment.

Have mercy, YHVH our elo’ah,
on Yisra’el your people,
and on Jerusalem your city,
and on Tsiyon the dwelling-place of your kavod,
and on the rule of the house of David Your anointed,
and on the Great and Holy House upon which you called your name.

Your God
The breaches of Your cities will be healed.
Your fortresses will shine out their light as if magic.
Its voice will sing out, sing out, mouth to mouth.
A song of Your consolation to Your cities, may it be beautiful!

Blessed are you, YHVH,
Rebuilder in mercy of Jerusalem,
